This is my fourth time to this restaurant within a month and it hasn?t disappointed me yet. From the chicken fried chicken, whole chicken wings, collards, mac?n cheese, yams, red beans and rice, as well as green beans. In addition to the food, the music and beverage variety is great. I love seeing establishments flourish here in Mansfield, but it is even greater to see this black owned business provide great food and service. I have even brought family and friends here that were very pleased. I would definitely suggest this place for anyone that would like some good southern comfort food and fellowship time.
Service was literally non-existent There may have been 20 people in the restaurant and it took over an hour to get our food and all four of our orders were wrong! On Friday I was told they have a band and there is a cover charge...NO BAND!! We were told that their system crashed and they had almost the entire wait/kitchen staff call out on valentine's day.....the customer should never been made aware that anything was wrong behind the scenes....I am disappointed bc a friend of mine and I went to check out the place the weekend before and our food was good and the service...I will not be returning....
This place is very spacious,clean, and the waiters are very attentive..I love it!! Every time I come there I order their shrimp ?,omg today I had salmon,candy ? yams ,greens, and red beans and rice ? all I got to say is MAGNIFICENT I give it 5 stars. The recipes are very tasty seasoned to the T.. my favorite waiter is Mark he is very courteous ,and he makes sure he checks on you ,I love the hospitality. Also another thing I like is the restroom is always clean when I come there..that means a lot . Thank you guys for being so unique I?ll be back soon!
I ordered the three wings, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and finished with a peach cobbler. Everything was served hot and delicious! The food at this restaurant is amazing! The server was very friendly and checked on me frequently. I saw that they have multiple daiquiri and margarita machines, so I will definitely try one on my next visit. This place is fantastic – there's no need to drive all the way to Grapevine or Dallas for great soul food. As they used to say, this place is 'The Lick' right here in Arlington.

When you first walk inside you really enjoy the vibe and the music, and customer service is pretty good. When you order your food, keep in mind that you?re not purchasing meals but you are purchasing food piece by piece. For example, I ordered the chicken fried chicken with no gravy($11) and then I added collard greens($5). The drinks were really really good though. Those prices do need to come down for the small portions they give though.
The chicken and waffles are awesome!!! I'm not sure what they are doing to that waffle but it is delicious!!! The chicken is great too but that waffle.....smh!! My mom had the grilled shrimp and my brother had the catfish. Both thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The staff was awesome, both kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, which exceeded all my expectations! I am grateful to my coworker for recommending it to me. My daughter and I greatly enjoyed the food and mimosas. We will certainly be back, and a big thank you to Mark for his exceptional service! This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fantastic brunch experience.

I had a great experience at this restaurant with my friend of over 50 years. Our server Mark was very nice and attentive. My Pork Chops Brunch meal was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back again soon!
