1. We learned tonight that Southern Prime no longer serves USDA Prime beef, only Angus. It may be time for them to consider a name change to something like Outback or Texas Roadhouse. 2. The red wine served in a glass is not at the ideal temperature of 55-65 degrees but rather at a disappointing room temperature of 70-75. They could really benefit from having a sommelier or offering some wine training. 3. Many corporate entities underestimate consumers, thinking they won’t notice when they’re being taken advantage of. First of all, Whitney, our server was great. The lobster bisque was pretty good as well. The reason for the 2 stars comes down to the steak. I ordered a ribeye, which is usually a safe bet in a steak house. Unfortunately, my steak was unbelievably tough, over cooked, (I ordered medium rare, this was beyond well done). My wife's steak was also overcooked. A steak house should at least be able to get steak right. The lobster tail my wife ordered was mealy and fishy. I would just chalk it up to a bad night if we were at Outback, but this meal was nearly $300 for 2 people. My expectations were much higher than what we were served.
Southern Prime Steakhouse is hands down the best resturaunt in Moore County. The staff is very professional, courteous, and knowledgable. Everything on the menu from the wine selection, salads, appetizers, main courses, desserts, and of course the steaks are all amazing. The 45 day dry aged ribeye is the best steak on the menu in my opinion. Pair it with a bottle of Silver Oak and you wont be disappointed. Next time you're looking for a great meal with perfect service give Southern Prime a try. Highly recommend a reservation to ensure you get in.
There was an issue with our server from the start. My husbands wine glass was dirty, she did ask if we wanted drinks we had to ask. She didn't give us options, she was short with her replies -perhaps she was new, appeared uncomfortable with inquiries........My steak was phenomenal my husband's rib-eye was tough, green beans overcooked. This Registered Dietitian wholeheartedly recommends the sea scallops, sourced fresh from the clear, unpolluted waters along the Carolina coast. These specially selected scallops are expertly seared with precision and culinary skill. My dish truly ignited my passion for seafood. As for the sea scallops from Roanoke Island, they were so delicious that I opted for a second serving. This time, my plate looked so enticing that it could have been a runway model!
Food, drinks, and service was awesome. Being in the service industry you have high standards but typically cut some slack however none was needed here. The server was great but didn't over-serve even though she was very busy. Filet was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I don't give out 5 stars very easily but this place most definitely deserves it. Great job and I'll be back.
Food was 10/10! Service was amazing! We had Jolene as our waitress and she was very nice. She made sure we were taken care of and never forgot to swing by the table to ask if we needed anything. I will definitely make sure to ask for her again whenever we go back. This establishment deserves 10 stars as a review!
Inviting atmosphere, the lobster Rangoon and my sirloin steak were very good, steak was tender. I was disappointed that my whipped potatoes were over whipped, which made them dense and the green beans did not taste fresh. The molten lava cake was good. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
