I recently discovered this restaurant and it has been a refreshing find! With many vegan and vegetarian spots closing in the metro Detroit area, it's truly impressive to find a place that makes almost everything from scratch. While I wish it were entirely vegan, I appreciate that most menu items are vegan-friendly (just avoid the ones with chicken eggs). Despite its limited hours and being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, I’m committed to supporting this business. I was really looking forward to trying this place. It's in a cute area surrounded by local shops and lots to do. Honestly, I was disappointed though. I ordered takeout since indoor dining was closed due to Covid restrictions. The staff member who brought it out seemed bothered, and they forgot the cutlery. There was no way to get cutlery since the door was locked, and I didn't think the unfriendly staff member would be pleased if I knocked. I ended up breaking my coffee stirrer in half and using it like chopsticks to eat my vegan mac cheese. There wasn't enough creamer included for my coffee either. The food here is truly exceptional! My sandwich was toasted perfectly and the flavors were fantastic. I appreciate that about 99% of their menu options are vegan by default, making it easy to order. I highly recommend this place because they really put a lot of thought and care into their dishes. The staff is also very friendly. I tried the grilled cheese special, the Berry-cado—which features balsamic roasted strawberries, creamy avocado, and salty melted cheese on crunchy buttery bread—while my husband had the weekend special, the Best Spuds Forecer, a brunch sandwich made with a hash brown patty, Burmese tofu scrambled with chives, cheese, tempeh bacon, and spicy mayo.

I was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the service at this restaurant. The atmosphere was delightful, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Since the food is prepared fresh, it does take a bit of time to receive your order, but it's absolutely worth the wait. We visited on a Saturday morning and tried the breakfast bomb and the wet burrito, both of which were delicious. We also sampled the walnut bread pudding, which was definitely worth the extra calories I had to run off later! I honestly can't think of anything to complain about. I'll be returning soon!
I highly recommend this lovely restaurant, where the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Virtually everything on the menu is vegan, with just one exception, and they also provide dairy cheese if you prefer. It's a great choice for vegans, vegetarians, or anyone in search of delicious plant-based dishes. Although the restaurant is small, they managed to comfortably accommodate our group of nine. There’s also a delightful little patio in the back. We'll definitely be back in the future!
Spacecat is definitely worth a visit! The atmosphere is always friendly, and the service is fantastic. The only reason I gave it four stars is that on a few occasions, some dishes have been under-seasoned, or lacking in flavor altogether.

We love the black bean sweet potato quesadilla! My husband and daughter can’t have gluten though, I would be thrilled to see a few more GF options (maybe an additional sweet treat and something kid friendly!
