We went here because I received a gift card from some clients, but we will definitely be back. We had: – Truffle fries 8/10 – Tomato basil soup 10/10 – Meatza 8/10 – Crème brûlée 10/10 – Chocolate fudge cake 6/10 Our server, Spencer was fabulous. The service in general was great. We did not have a reservation, but you may need one if you go on the weekends or during the main dinner rush. We were there later in the evening. We sat out on the patio and it was lovely. Great vibes! The truffle fries get 8/10 because some of them were very oily. The Meatza gets 8/10, because it kind of fell apart as you eat it, but it was very flavorful and had amazing crust. Food was OK, nice atmosphere. The decor and atmosphere made us expect a nice Italian restaurant. I think it's mostly a pizza place. We ordered a scallop appetizer, which was decent. I ordered salmon and was asked if I wanted it rare, medium, or well done. I've never been asked that before and was quite confused. All I could say was please cook the salmon properly. I suspect it was just a young, inexperienced server. My wife ordered the chicken parmesan. Like my salmon it was slightly over salted and bland. Spasso happy hour is fantastic. Another highlight on the menu is the braised beef ravioli. I have found their menu is pricey and would not order certain items again $20 for a low quality chicken cobb salad). Their partnership with the Wine Shop next door really is a draw for myself and many others. The patio is summer is nice but has limited hours, we have been told they are no longer seating patio after a certain time on weekends which was a bummer. I live in the area, is not our favorite restaurant in the area but we will visit again as they keep improving their service and food quality.
Truly, the worst of Minnesota. Rigid and lazy. Went on a gorgeous summer evening and patio was inexplicably closed. Asked if we could sit outside and told it was impossible because they’d have to dry off some chairs from rain earlier that day. We even offered to dry the tables and chairs for them. Still no dice. We’ve been there 3 times now and consistently had the same server. She wasn’t rude but she wasn’t very personable. our service was so slow. She only checked on us two times total besides waiting for us to close out our bill. The food is good, the location and atmosphere is nice, maybe they just need servers that seem like they want to wait on tables? She didn’t check back around for refills either. Just disappointed for the price point.
Made a reservation, arrived on time and were seated promptly. Waited 20 minutes without a server checking in. One of us checked in with the front desk and the nice hostess went to check in with the wait staff for us. 10 minutes later we still hadn’t had a server check in so we left. No service at all besides being seated for 30 minutes when there were two servers working the patio. Very awkward.
Bring back the Summer Specials!!! We stopped in today to have the Beet and Quinoa Salad that is absolutely delicious and was told by our server that it’s no longer available nor will it be available anymore. Why would you take it off just weeks after starting it???
We have made it a tradition to go year each year at the same time to have a celebration. It has NEVER disappointed us! The food is incredible and we have always had wonderful servers. We highly recommend Spasso! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We come here regularly and always enjoy it. The spaghetti Bolognese is fantastic. We recommended coming after 8:00 as it's a much more pleasurable dining experience.
