These Grilled Sweet Corn Polenta Cakes are an explosion of flavour and what a fantastic presentation! Speekeezies is a family run Italian restaurant in Brantford and Chef Anthony welcomes every diner as if they were family. The amazing Wood Oven pizza “Speek’s Classic” is...inspired by his wife, Heather who is also almost always there pouring incredible curated wines. That Macchiato peeking in the background is the best espresso you can find on this continent ! Compliments of his dad and his traditional espresso machine.
Under normal circumstances, we would take advantage of chef Anthony’s table-side charm and dine in, but this time we decided to order out and enjoy our dinner at home. As usual, everything we ordered exceeded expectation and helped to make our anniversary dinner as special...as it should be. We can honestly say that every meal we’ve ever had from Speekezzies has been excellent. Thank you Anthony and team for the wonderful, flavourful food.
From the outside it doesn't look like much but when you enter the restaurant it's charming and nicely decorated. The chef comes to your table if he isn't supper busy cooking. He described the special of the day with mouth watering zest. Service was excellent...and the food delicious. it was a birthday celebration and we had an excellent time. For vegans and vegetarians they are more than willing to accommodate.
I have been in this restaurant many times. The food is excellent and the great guy serving the clients is one of the best I have ever seen. I would recommend it as the best restaurant in Brantford, with added value. Delicious spaghetti with sea...food, delicious lamp chops. I would only change the inside decoration, but this is of minor significance.

Every time I go here the food is just exquisite. The service is great and the atmosphere is so nice. It's great for family or for a business meeting. Would definitely recommend for a date night as well.
It's been a few months when we were there. It is within walking distance and we were pleasantly surprised on how great the food is at Speekezzies! Even though it is close, we forget that it is there!
We always enlist the food at speekezzies. They also have an excellent selection of wine. The ambiance is not great. Too much lighting, plastic and decorations make it a less enjoyable experience.
We ordered take out tonight and it was delicious. The food was hot and fresh and made of the finest ingredients. The portion was large. Wonderful meal!

Amazing food! Love the family atmosphere. They don't try to rush you in and out. Best Italian in the city by far.
Great food! One of the best, if not the best place in Brantford for a good dinner and nice glass of wine.
