If we don't fancy walking further we always call here for a tea time drink while waiting for a take away. We like to go around 5pm as it is quieter then and nice to sit and watch what's going on. Heather is very friendly and will come and sit for a chat. We haven't been to one of their entertainment evenings but apparently they are fun. Mostly English but nice people.
The most amazing juicy steak with fluffy, crispy croquettes, fries and sauces. The apple dessert was just like my mum used to make. The chef visited each table at the end of the evening. An absolutely lovely experience and great value for money. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
What you see is what you get. Called in a few times now and have enjoyed my visits, mainly because they serve a well kept pint. The locals seem friendly enough and during the football they have some lively banter,all good fun. Many thanks

We had to go to Spencer’s Bar as our son is called Spencer. The bar man (owners boyfriend) was very friendly and came out to talk to us after we got our drinks. Nice strong, large measures!!!!
