We have dined at this restaurant multiple times and have consistently enjoyed the food and service, so much so that we've recommended it to friends and family. However, during our most recent visit, we encountered disappointing service. While I understand the restaurant was busy, that does not excuse poor service. Although we didn't order a starter, we waited an hour and ten minutes for our main course. After such a long wait, we also ordered another round of drinks, which never arrived. I noticed that the staff appeared to focus heavily on tables with four, six, or eight customers, while couples seemed to be overlooked. After this experience, we’ve decided not to return on Saturday evenings...
The starters arrived quickly and were tasty, but I felt the portion sizes were quite small. After about an hour, our main dishes finally came out, and I was disappointed by the inconsistent presentation and the lack of spices and chili. While the flavors were good, I anticipated that a dish labeled 'medium' would have a bit more heat. The quality of the lamb was excellent, and I did enjoy that, but overall, I wasn't impressed. We visited on a Saturday night, so perhaps they were overwhelmed, but I don’t think I’ll return unless there’s a significant deal. There's a better option nearby in Urmston.
Mini poppadoms were a poor substitute for the real thing. Lamb rib starter was fatty and lacked flavour and spicing. Lamb main also lacked spice but was very salty. Tikka Masala tasted like tomato soup, sweetened with honey. The pilau rice was dark brown in colour and tasted like basmati tossed in soy sauce and the Naan bread wasn't a proper Naan, more like normal bead and it looked like it came out of a packet. After all the hype, I was so looking forward to my meal, but I've never been so disappointed. I won't be going back and wouldn't recommend either.

Third visit now and absolutely wonderful food and service, probably one of the best Indian Restaurants around. Just glad it's in Urmston!

We enjoyed a lovely meal at spice mafia. There were a great choice of vegetarian options. Very tasty and fresh.
