The food was exceptionally good, however, the delivery and customer service leave far too much to be desired. The order was over 30 minutes late it was ordered over an hour before required to allow for rush hour traffic, yet still arrived 35 mins late. When it finally turned up it was luke warm (thankfully the microwave came to the rescue) and was minus one of the rice 's: is it beyond sense to think 2 mains and a veg dish should it be only one rice? CHECK THE ORDER!!! When I rung to ask as to the meals whereabouts I was repeatedly told by a child? not to worry!! Not impressed, rang back when item found missing. Asked for refund for dish, was offered something free next time there will be no...
We’ve been ordering from Spice Republic for years, great food fresh, full of flavour and always delivered on time. Today was a different story everything was dry, the paneer shashlik was completely white and soft, no lovely chargrilled flavour or tandoori spices. Pilau rice had all the spices and colour in but tasted like poorly boiled rice. Mint sauce is equally pale looking, sort of whitish, tasted of nothing. I called them and asked why the change, to be told they have new management and a new chef. What a shame. If you were asked to cook Indian food for young children this is what you’d make. Everything is white, plain and bland. Last order from me, we will be going elsewhere.
this restaurant has recently been updated by only one take-off and the owners make a really good work. the service is friendly and genuine our waiter helped us to choose some dishes to suit our taste. we had herbal samosa and prawn puri for appetizers and lamb bungalow and chicken passanda for net with peshwari nann and pilau reis. everything was freshly cooked and really delicious. we even had a mango leti that was not on the menu. this is a bit away from the main road, but it is worth visiting for a curry in a cozy atmosphere.
Moved away from London sometime ago but folks still live local so this is my dad's takeaway of choice, so with a recent visit to see my family, my dad ordered from Spice Republic I found it really enjoyable and tasted very nice and freshly cooked. Will be visiting London again soon and look forward to my next visit to your establishment, keep up the good work. Spice Republic, named Curry Chef of the year 2013 by CurryLife Magazine, is a hidden gem that I am thrilled to have discovered in an area I frequent. The chef is top-notch, the manager Moheen is attentive and friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend checking out this fantastic restaurant and trying their exceptional dishes. You won't be disappointed!
Don't believe it when you are told you order will take 45minutes for delivery they usually take just over half of that. Big portions, nice additional touches, very tasty.
The food here is definitely worth the 45 minute to an hour wait. Prices are reasonable and they are happy to customize your meal to your preferences.
