Let me start off by saying, i really don 't put much stock in atmosphere I go to the restaurants for the food. The Spicy Hut is MY favourite restaurant in Calgary. I love the food and I have tried many of the the dishes. I first started getting food there almost 30 years ago when I lived in Renfrew. I since moved 20 km away and I will still drive there even when getting take out, I simply have not found anything that compares. The flavours are rich. The staff are great. Their hot and sour soup is the best there is. We decided to do take-out on a recent Sunday evening. My son prefers Spicy Hut because he claims that there food is simply tastier than other Chines Restaurants in Calgary. I would have to admit that he may be correct. Service was very good as...the order was completed about five minutes before the time that I had requested it be available for pickup. Once home I realized how tasty some of the dishes really were. The items for which i thought the taste was excellent included: Singapore Noodles......LOTS of curry flavour. Ginger Beef......sweet and Gingery Massaman Veggies....Bold Red Curry Pepper Beef Hot Plate. Lots of pepper. The best pepper taste I have had for years. Very enjoyable.
This is a great chinese thai food restaurant,Thai stuffed wings was the best recommended, sweet sour pork bit sour but still ok, quick fried sliced duck with green onions very tasty with thin sliced with wok style, grilled pork dumpling the inside meat smell really good and delicious but the skin was too thick, maybe bit thinner will be perfect.Service was fast and also they have parking at the side of the restaurant.Pad thai also recommends.Reasonable price recommend for family.
I was recommended this place from a friend and just popped in to get some Wor Wonton soup for takeout. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. The soup was not the best in town but definitely in the top 3!

Hands down the best Chinese/Thai food experience we've had of late. Stopped by for lunch today and ordered salt and pepper squid. Amazing ! Delicious! Fresh !Highly recommended!!
A hole-in-the-wall with amazing service and food, to summarize! Their proportions are fulfilling and is a great place to eat with a group of people (10+).
I’ve been coming here for decades. A lovely family runs it. The food is always excellent, especially the Salt and Pepper Squid and Stuffed Chicken Wings.
