if they find themselves in the opposite or simply by aboyne, then they must stop here. the best coffee they find in royal deeside. it is a great call I know, but believe me that we have seen and done our research! conveniently located just...from the main road on the railway station, they cannot miss the bright signs and hanging signs on the front. the caffe is bright, cozy and welcoming with plenty of seating and a log burner on the back for those who arrive to foot or bike at the cool highland days. the coffee is phenomenal, the cake was simply divine (banana and choc chip was to die.) if they appreciate quality coffee, then spider on a bike is a must.
Lovely food (not just the usual predictable stuff), friendly staff, great coffee, care taken over Covid arrangements. And all in a fantastic granite building, the lovely old station at Aboyne. If only it still had trains. The bikes outside and the intriguing name grabbed my...attention, the perfect pitstop when I was cycling the Deeside Way. I much preferred this to the rather twee recreation of the station at Ballater (where incidentally the Balmorality themed cafe was closed because of Covid).
this must be one of my favorite wee coffee shops, which is an amazing selection of healthy snacks tasty (I am gluten-free, and they have some wonderful options.) I also love the variety of coffees available to provide my favorites this autumn. the turmeric latte....so good and nourishing for the bodies! great value ever friendly customer service and I just love the book swap shelf! if they are in the opposite, or even simply recommend by. definitiw.
Went in for take-away teas and a cake. The teas were served in rather small sized cups, almost espresso mid sized. Surprised also that the tea bags were not left in the cup for us to remove as we wanted, the tea was hardly brewed....We paid £3 for 2 x small cups of hot milk. Also surprised that a cafe like this does not offer sweeteners, only sugar ?!?

We visited recently for take away lunch. Unfortunately the bread was so stale we threw out the sandwiches. The cakes and coffee were nice. Disappointed in the quality and even though cafes have been through a tough time I still think they paying customer should...get at least fresh bread for their sandwiches.
We sat in for lunch, coffee and cake this weekend felt very comfortable with regards to appropriate covid measures being in place and staff were lovely. Beautiful food for both vegetarian and non vegetarian. I would definitely eat here, sit in or take away,...again soon :
Always enjoy a quick bite to eat from here. Staff are very welcoming. Recently enjoyed a nice Black pudding Pie from here which is great considering Aboyne lacks a bakers!
