I honestly cannot fathom how this restaurant has received some many good reviews. We tried to have lunch here a couple of days ago. We arrived at 1145 so the place was empty. The two waiters are absolutely useless, they never look up or around as they serve, hence you have to virtually stand up and wave to gain their attention. They seem full of themselves but are totally in the wrong profession. They need some training or replacement. Finally we managed to get a drink then sat with empty glasses for 20 minutes so paid (that again took forever) and left without any food. I'm one for second chances so we did return yesterday. Staff rude and disrespected. . We order two coke coke and two ice creams for children. they made us wait 30 minutes for two glasses of coke that practically were two means glasses (paid 4.5 francs each) and ice creams not even the shadow. After another 15 minutes we got up to pay for drinks and leave... because it was late. the rude waiters, instead of apologizing, they inveited against my husband saying that it was not true that 45 minutes had passed!!! ! There are no words... you have no idea how it is about customers...that's why 'saas fee is completely empty of tourists!!!!P.S. I'm praying that I've come to this place for 17 years and' the first time that something like this happens!
at 2’450 meters high, the culinaryly demanding mountaineer feeds completely. sporty guests climb the station to the foot, the others travel with the cable car. with the bourgeois pass the ride is most convenient.The portion of the kartoffel corner with sour cream for fr. 9.- tasted good. the Peis performance ratio was right for me. the service was pleasantly attentive and friendly and the toilets clean.Wenige meter under the mountain station you can feed with some luck wild murmeltiere. a beautiful experience, which according to locals is due to the host of the restaurant (and its predecessors).I will return to the game floor, for eating, but also for murmeltier feeding.
Spielboden is the creme-de-la-creme of mountain restaurants in Saas Fee. The food is superb with everything cooked fresh on site. At 2,400 meters, and with access only by cablecar, it is an ambitious feat to offer Michelin quality food, but Spielboden manage to do it perfectly. The views from the terrace on a sunny day are wonderful, the restaurant on a cold day is cosy, the food and wine list are consistently excellent. Well worth a visit (and a return visit.)

recommended by friends, we had reserved for the 14h service. the reception is correct, but the service is very slow while the restaurant is three-quarters empty. a chf 46 the schnitzel, one can expect something good and generous: not even 120gr of meat, too salty and salad bathing in an insipid sauce. The bowl with chf 29 were correct. a special mention for the carafe of gaseous water chf 10
I ate a spaghetti m meat sauce that was super good, but if I would have paid so much in Swedish kronor for that food at home in Sweden, the answer is no. rosé wine to the food tasted more like a deser wine i.e. sweet. So I probably have to recommend choosing another place if you don’t have to eat ankles.
Wir machten einen Zwischenstopp im Restaurant, um auf der Piste zu Mittag zu essen, und wir waren von der Qualität des Service, der Aufmerksamkeit und der Aussicht überrascht. Man kann schnell ein Getränk von hoher Qualität genießen, ich kann es ohne Zweifel empfehlen.
Das Essen ist großartig und auch der Service ist wunderbar. Ein großartiges Team von Fachleuten macht dies zum besten Ort zum Essen in den Bergen von Saas-Fee.
