What a meal!!!! Fantastic!!! We had the three course option on Wednesday 20th March and it was superb. I had pigeon breast to start which was fabulous, followed by Hogget served two ways, one roasted and then pulled and interlaced with the boulangere potatoes, divine. Then rounded off with a fabulous egg custard tart served with roasted rhubarb and oranges in a sauce. All four of us were amazed and served by very, very efficient waiting staff who had smiles on their faces the whole time. Well done everyone.
I visited this restaurant with a group for a Christmas lunch. The food was quite good, especially considering the servers were first-year students. However, two things bothered me: first, being called 'love' by a 17-year-old was a bit off-putting, and second, the parking situation during term time is terrible. Although there are designated spaces, they are insufficient for the number of visitors.

I had an absolutely fabulous meal at Spires. I was really impressed with the quality of the food and the friendly service. The students here are amazing. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place!

Went tonight with a group of 10 and we had a superb meal.The moules mariniere were as good as any have had in Franceand the carvery was fantastic. Somehow we managed dessert which was also brilliant.
I had a meal last night with my mother and my brother. eating and service were amazing. very professional but funny atmosphere, as well as reasonable price. I would definitely come back.
