I have been a regular at Spirits since they first opened. After moving away, I didn’t get a chance to return for a while, but I’m delighted to report that they’ve only improved. The staff is enthusiastic, the cocktails are fantastic (I highly recommend trying a variety of them), and their tomato soup remains one of the best I’ve ever had. They recently upgraded to a larger fryer, which has made an impressive difference in the quality of their fries, too. I’m thrilled to see a local business taking steps to enhance their offerings while still excelling at what they’ve always done well.
The decor is charming, and the mixed drinks are both excellent and unique. Service is great, although it can get overwhelmed during busy times—so plan your visit for when you can interact more with the staff. The space is quite small, so if they host events, be sure to arrive early to secure your spot. The food is consistently good and improving over time. The house-fried chips are fantastic, though I tend to add a bit more salt to make them just right. I would just suggest they consider offering regular fries, because if the chips are this delicious…
I stumbled upon a fantastic gem in Milwaukie—a restaurant with an artisan menu and craft cocktails offered at surprisingly affordable prices. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was impeccable. Even the background music was trendy and enjoyable. I highly recommend the house-made chips, tomato basil soup, and blue cheese deviled eggs; they were all excellent. It's a cozy spot, so I suggest either visiting later in the evening or taking advantage of their great happy hour specials.
We are foodies from Portland. Went for a late lunch on Sunday. It was very good gourmet food at an amazing price plus generous pours. Lovely service. Worked with my food allergies. Watched women's basketball and checked out cool art too. Small and intimate. Nov 13 went again for Tuesday night dinner, watched a fun movie and listened to cool music. The service was excellent, and both the waitress and chef were incredibly friendly. The food was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. My girlfriend ordered the drink special and absolutely loved it, which is impressive since she’s usually picky about drinks. The restaurant has a small, cozy atmosphere with warm, welcoming service, and the food is a step above typical bar fare. I can’t wait to explore more of the menu soon!
Charming little bistro located in downtown, offering some of the finest locally sourced, handcrafted food and drinks! The staff are wonderful, and you can always count on enjoying a delightful meal or drink in a fantastic atmosphere. It's woman-owned and incredibly welcoming to the LGBTIQA+ community!
