Frozen yoghurt is not a new idea but the concept at Spoonies is new to the region ie 'self-service ' frozen yoghurts and sorbets. The store is very open and the first thing you notice are frozen fruits, berries, sprinkles and choc bits to adorn your...dessert once your have dispensed it yourself. And that is where the catch is. There is a Step-by-Step poster on the wall to help you out....BUT staff are available to help you out if needed and all with courtesy and a big smile. The frozen yoghurt machines are clearly marked with the flavours available such as Mocha Chocolate, Coconut, Lime, Cookies and Cream, Vanilla and more. The beauty of this is...you are NOT limited to one or two flavours....
I love frozen yogurt, but I wasn't too impressed with this place in Cairns Central. The taste of the yogurt itself seemed lacking in freshness. I'm not saying it wasn't fresh, but there was something about the taste that was off. I have been to many other Fro-Yo places and this one was a bit disappointing. The toppings were okay, mostly fruit-based. There were no mangoes, mixed nuts, chocolate sauce, etc. or maybe they were sold out? I'm not sure, as it didn't seem busy when I was there.
Love Fro-Yo! but wasn't too thrilled with this place in Cairns Central. The flavour of the yogurt itself lacks freshness ? Im not saying that the yogurt was not fresh but something about the taste that I'm not sure, it was very bland. I have had Fro-Yo's at a lot of other places and this was a bit disappointing. The toppings were okay. Mostly fruit based. Didn't find any almonds, mixed nuts, choc sauce, etc. Or may be it was sold out? idk, it didn't seem busy when I got there.
My family loved visiting spoonies fro yo, it was so delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly from the moment we walked in. The kids definitely enjoyed making their own and topping it with lollies and jelly balls. Would definitely recommend to everyone for...a healthy family treat ^ ^

I'm addicted, lucky for my hips I don't live here. The lychee and charcoal is my favourite. Toasted coconut was good too. I went back 3 times in one day and bought takeaway coffee mocha. I'm addicted ! 3 more days in Cairns, how much can I fit in! Fun staff, who are warm and open smiles!

I can't believe how delicious something healthy can taste. The dishes here are guilt-free and incredibly flavorful, even without all the extra toppings. Our favorite is the natural yogurt, which we ended up taking home in multiple containers in a frozen bag. Highly recommend!
in the shopping mall you will find this Froyo place. we stopped having some, I chose the natural and cheesecakes to smell with some ms. the fruits didn't look fresh, so I didn't take anything. it tastes good and for about $5,50 they will. get a little froyo here.

How can something healthy taste so good. If you don't add all the trimmings you can have a cool guilt free treat. Our grandson highly recommends the natural yoghurt and we have to take numerous take away container home in a freezer bag.
