Spring Lake Seafood

Since we had already received our drinks, what were we supposed to do—just walk out? So, we went ahead and placed our order. The server mentioned that oysters were half-price, which made sense since they needed to clear inventory, but honestly, everything should have been half-price! I looked at pictures of the lobster roll online, and what we received did not resemble that at all. The clam chowder was disappointing—watery broth with potatoes and not a single clam in it. The lobster roll contained no chunks of lobster; it was mostly coleslaw and lacked flavor. The same went for the lobster mac and cheese—just pasta with no lobster pieces. I suspect the restaurant had run out of lobster but...

Friends took me out for my birthday on Jan 28th. My portion of lobster mac n cheese was so small with hardly any lobster and with a very lackluster taste and at 32 dollars not cheap. All three of us were extremely disappointed in our meals and 2 of us felt like we wanted to go eat something else. My friend had the lobster roll with hardly any lobster on it. The bottom line is lackluster taste, small portions and way overpriced. I don't ever leave reviews, but you really need to do better than this.Because of that disappointment the three of us went to Bistro in Avon on Feb first and had about the same kind of food and it was absolutely fantastic and cheaper.Smart response back! Absolutely excellent in every way. Tuna pizza, garlic shrimp, blackened wagu, the cavitelli, and last but not least the ever so perfect Affogato with homemade gelato were all outstanding. Service was also excellent from the hostess to Nancy our bartender (we sat at the bar). If possible we would give it 6+ stars out of 5. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

We had a wonderful experience at this small BYO restaurant in Spring Lake. The food was outstanding! We were also entertained by a visiting Italian musician playing the keyboard. We loved the shrimp and grits, filet Oscar, broiled lobster, and chicken scarpariello. Everyone in our group praised their meals. We will definitely be returning!

New Year’s Eve was a great experience. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere. It was our first time dining indoors as a family since the pandemic began, and it was a wonderful outing. Well done! We will definitely be back!
