a waiter flew me on the hand to talk to him. I tried to get entertaining his attention, as I tried to pay for the register card of another family on the way. I apologised several times, although I didn't think I did something wrong, but he continued. I felt borderline physically threatened. I worked in this business and would never miss a waiter, a busboy or literally another person. it is not the kind of person I am. I went to the website to contact the management and no one answered, so here I write this review publicly.
I hosted my 4 year olds birthday party here during non peak hours. The theme was Christmas. The Gate's staff made sure we had THE BEST time. We has Santa show up and the owners could not have been nicer and/or more accommodating. They even took a picture with Santa. Thank you all so much for making this party so memorable.
Old fashioned Irish Pub. Typical bar and food menu. Reasonable prices. Crock of cheddar appetizer with crackers was very disappointing. A small serving of cheddar in a plastic cup...nor a crock with Ritz crackers..total rip off. Shepards pie was decent. Good pub atmosphere but food just average.
I like it here, almost everything, but like some others, noted a really bad attitude from the “hostess” who was annoyed that she had to put down her phone/earbuds and answer a question from a friendly customer. Dined here for lunch, one of the only places open on a Monday afternoon. The decor is dark but comfortable. We sat and were greeted quickly. I ordered a cosmo and appetizers. Everything was good, typical bar food. Our waiter was great too. Would come here again.
I always enjoy when I come here. the waiting staff is super friendly and accommodating. my only wish is a better veggie burger. with all the brands out there, they still serve dr. praegers, which just falls on them. that's my only complaint.
I've been here twice , first time Buffalo mac and cheese was great, this time it was legit macaroni and Buffalo sauce and dry chicken- no cheese. Could only take a few bites and was over it. Fun for some drinks but don't come for the food.
Hostess Emma not capable of taking simple order for (2) corned beef sandwiches for pickup. I waited 40 minutes only to find out when I picked up, there was only 1 sandwich. Very disappointing. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
A friendly comfortable pub with a broad eclectic variety of beers on tap and very good pub food. Favorites are the St James Burger and the Mussels- always order the chips.
