I love the pastries, but the customer service was not good. The girl that helped me rushed thru my order and when I got home I noticed she got it all wrong. I was so upset because I drove from far to try this bakery for the first time and my experience was not a good one. And I'm not sure if they don't accept credit cards or their machines were just not working that day. Luckily I had cash on me but otherwise it would have been a bust.
St. Rocco's is a visual delight! I snapped some photos to share with friends while I waited in line. Although the wait was a bit long, the staff was incredibly friendly. I wasn't there for their regular menu, as I was there to pick up a specialty vegan cake for a birthday celebration, and it was absolutely delicious. I intend to visit whenever I'm in the area since I know someone who lives nearby.
To the right, I understand that it used to be a charming little mom-and-pop bakery, but unfortunately, it's disappointing to say the least. I always ensured I had enough money on me, but that didn’t help much. The bakery itself is decent; the pastries are good and slightly better than average, but not the best I’ve had. The staff, however, were quite indifferent and somewhat rude.
Visiting friends in the area and they said we have to try this place. Lovely local Italian bakery, the sweet pastries were delicious and the cooked food looked great (didn?t get a chance to try). Freshly baked bread made with high-quality ingredients! The sandwiches are incredibly tasty and delicious. The meatballs are moist and full of flavor, and the calamari is perfectly crispy. We also tried the Boston donut, and it was absolutely amazing! Love this gem in Glen Head!
I’m not sure how this bakery manages to make every single item taste so delicious, especially with such a wide variety! It’s truly impressive. Our favorites are the cheeses, croissants, cannolis, and baguettes. The only downside is that they only accept cash.
Plus smells delicious, friendly service, patries are lovely. Minus (some) cookies really tiny and costly for what they are in size and taste (didn't purchase by pound). Had Sicilian pizza slice and was salty and heavy on tomato sauce (couldn't finish).
This bakery is fantastic! No matter what you choose—bread, pastries, or hot dishes—everything is delicious and of the highest quality. I'm so grateful to live in Glen Cove so I don't have to travel far to enjoy it, but I would if I had to! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
