We tried this place because it was recommended to us by a family member. This location has an oven making the bagels fresh constantly, a small store front selling various jarred and pre made items (as well as fresh bagels of course and a 'restaurant ' (cafe? in the back half serving food. Lots of space to sit and eat in the store. Parking is adequate but I could see lunch hours becoming really busy. Food: 1 smoked salmon bagel one on an everything bagel, one on a sesame seed bagel. **Service:** Outstanding! The staff always greets me with a smile and serves fresh bagels every time. **The Food:** Wow! I'm absolutely in love with this place. The bagels are incredibly fresh, and their cream cheese and smoked salmon options are always well-stocked and fresh as well. There's a great variety to choose from. I particularly enjoy coming here, not only for the free cream cheese but because their bagels are, without a doubt, the best in North America. Stopped for lunch and refuel for some snack. The bakery side was a 5 star and loved the bagels and everything they had. Loved seeing them make the bagels in front of me in the hot oven. The staff were friendly and helpful. The quick service side for lunch was not worth it. For the price of a sandwich and a coffee I could have eaten in any restaurant. (Paid around $18 for a bagel and a coffee) Not worth them slapping the cream cheese on the bun for 4x the price. Your better off just buying the bagels and the cream cheese and making your own sandwich on the bake side. Seems line its one of the common complaints by most.
If you're looking for fresh bagels on your way back to Toronto, this spot is the most convenient place to stop as you leave Quebec. There’s parking available right outside the store, and you'll notice quite a few customers coming in and out to grab their bagels. The wait isn’t long since the line moves quickly. If you’re in need of a caffeine boost, the filtered coffee is quite good as well. They also offer a seating area with a few tables where you can enjoy some delicious-looking loaded bagel sandwiches, priced between $8 and $12, making for a great breakfast choice.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. I enjoyed the blueberry bagel, and I appreciated the spaciousness of the shop, which made me feel relaxed and not rushed while placing my order. There's also plenty of room to sit and enjoy your meal if you want to. However, coming from the States and based on the menu pictures, I found it difficult to order a sandwich as they didn’t look very appealing. The bagels themselves were warm and delicious paired with cream cheese. I also liked that there’s parking available, so you don’t have to worry about meter pressures.
My favorite Montreal bagels are available at a location conveniently close to my home. I honestly can't taste any difference from the original! They offer a great selection of bagels and pastries (both large), as well as frozen pizza, ice cream, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, local honey, jams, tapenade, cookies, and more. The café also has a solid menu featuring prepared bagel sandwiches, espresso, and Italian sodas, among other items. Plus, there's plenty of parking available.
We all know these are the BEST bagels in the WORLD, so let’s discuss the store and the staff! The staff are always friendly, whether you’re at the bagel counter or in the café. There’s a good variety for a quick sit-down meal, and the prices are reasonable. The store also offers a selection of packaged foods, which is a nice occasional treat or a way to try something new. The new merchandise is nice as well, but I personally wish we could see the mascot more often!
St. Viatuer bagels are probably the best bagels in town, famously enriched bagels with staff that know their bagels, always serving up the freshest batch. And great prices that won't hurt either. Absolutely loved St. Viateur's!! Recommend to everyonewho visits Montréal and appreciates a nicely seasoned and flavored bagel.????
I went there this morning to pick up two dozen bagels, and unfortunately, not a single one was hot and fresh. They were all cold and hard, as if they had been made the day before. I'm not sure what's going on this morning, but they certainly weren't making fresh bagels. It was a total disappointment.
