I have tried over the years of my visits to Konstanz to make it into Stadtkind, but the place was always was mostly booked. Success on this visit, though. Stadtkind has a variety of seating options from padded chairs, rustic wooden furniture, window seats and throw pillows around the place. There is an additional seating area in the back room kitchen display area. The staff is professional, friendly and efficient. Place your order and pay at the counter and grab a seat. I ordered a soy milk hot chocolate (2,90€ and it hit the spot. Ich kam kurz nach der Eröffnung und hatte die Wahl zwischen Sitzen an einem der Fenstertische mit Blick nach vorne oder zur Seite, mehreren Tischen, aber ich nahm Platz im hinteren Raum. Dieses Café in der Nachbarschaft hat ein tolles Personal und eine sehr entspannte und einladende Atmosphäre. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an frisch gebackenem Brot, Süßigkeiten, Desserts, Muffins, Kuchen, Keksen, Donuts, heißen und kalten Getränken und mehr. Ich bestellte ein riesiges Stück Rhabarberkuchen (3,20€) und eine Mandelmilch-Heiße Schokolade (3,20€). Beides war köstlich! Bei jeder Bestellung wird ein kostenloses Keks serviert. StadtKind bietet zahlreiche Milchersatzprodukte an, was wirklich toll ist!...
Als Italiener muss ich jedes Mal, wenn ich außerhalb Italiens unterwegs bin, das Problem haben, einen guten Kaffee zu finden. In Konstanz macht dieser Ort einen sehr guten Espresso, empfehlenswert. Es bietet auch schöne Frühstückskombinationen an, die ich nicht ausprobiert habe. Der Espresso kostet 2 Euro, fast doppelt so viel wie in Italien, aber der Preis ist hier angemessen.
Wir sind hierher gegangen, weil sie glutenfrei und vegan angeboten haben. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, viel für Ihr Geld, hat uns den ganzen Tag über gut versorgt. Auch in einem wirklich schönen Teil der Stadt.
