The service here is excellent. Friendly and even the dog gets a bowl of water straight away. This is a young team who have just taken over this year and in my opinion have made an excellent start.The food is very good. The presentation of the food is also very nice. Price is also O.k.This is a restaurant in the middle of Hallein. In the summer months most of the action is outside in the guest garden.I would say that Hallein would have not been the same when the Stadkrug had not opened again this year.Thanks to the team and carry on so.
The friendly service and atmosphere was brilliant. The layout was spacious and relaxed, great for kids. The waitress was smiley and took the time to translate the entire menu for us (without being asked!) and was really helpful. The food was lovely (and filling!), an authentic taste of Austria, at the heart of a pretty, if slightly quiet, town. If we have the opportunity, we will be definitely making a return visit!
We dined at Stadtkrug, as our local friend suggested it to us. The restaurant is situated in the heart of the town, the decor is relaxed but nicely put together, we immediately felt there at home. The food did not dissapoint us either - fresh ingredients, so that even Margharita pizza tasted amazing. If we lived in Hallein, this would probably be our local place to go to, highly recommend it.
I was there with my boyfriend's family,they are from Hungary and they don't speak german,so they had a little problem with the menu,but our waiter was a gentleman. He was really calm and friendly while i was translating. :D We ordered some wild boars,stadtkrugpfandls and a schnitzel. Everything was totally delicious and the portions were huge. We were staying in Hallein and looking for somewhere nice, but reasonably priced and stumbled upon Stadtkrug, which doesn't have a front window, but does have a smart entrance and a menu displayed. We went up the stairs to find a bustling restaurant with a range of seating. Very relaxed atmosphere, attentive service, well cooked food and well priced.
We were on a short trip to Hallein and we had some ideas where to eat but since it was holiday this was one of the few places that were open and totally worth it. Service was great and food was delicious. Spacious and nice looking place. Surely will visit again if we go to Hallein.
Passed by for a late lunch. There had been a big festival the night before and staff was a bit slow but they excused for that. Food ok, pizza a bit too much cheese on it. Restaurant itself in avery old house look cool. Would give them a secon chance.

Lovely fresh traditional food. Great homemade pizzas for the kids and great service taking us through the menu in english. Definitely recommended!
