The service at the restaurant was outstanding, with very friendly and helpful staff. However, we were not impressed with the quality of the food and found the portions to be on the smaller side. I ordered the lamb and my partner had the steak, both of which we found to be more heavy than meat. Despite reading positive reviews before booking, we were left feeling a bit disappointed.
We ate in the lounge bar, which was warm and welcoming. The homemade soup was delicious and both main dishes were plentiful, beautifully presented and really delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Some really original touches in the meal made it an evening to remember. We look forward to our next visit.
There were only a few customers in the restaurant. We were a bit put off by the spider web on the table, even though everything else seemed clean. The food was tasty, but the gammon steak was quite odd. The portion size of the tea was unclear and we had a difficult time biting into it.
