What an absolute gem. I surprised my husband with a three course dinner here for our anniversary and was blown away by both the charm of this venue and the excellence of their food. Stamps is a small boutique dining experience in the suburbs, which was such a pleasant relief from the larger, more crowded establishments. It is unpretentious, quaint and incredibly romantic. The service was impeccable- two wonderful servers waited on us throughout the night, regularly checking on us and ensuring that our needs were met. We were treated to a free amuse-bouche prior to receiving three unbelievably delicious meals, it truly was a perfect evening. A new favourite for us!
We dined on Saturday night and the whole experience was excellent! The staff were polite and attentive and the food was wonderful. For mains I had the lamb shoulder and my wife the venison. My lamb was melt in the mouth and the accompaniments were suited perfectly. We had lime cheesecake and chocolate souffle for dessert. The cheesecake was tangy and the souffle rich. The salted caramel ice cream with the souffle was as smooth as silk. The meal was well worth the money and I would highly recommend Stamps to anyone looking for an elegant night out.
The frustration for those of us who truly find that coriander ruins a dish, is that a lot of restaurants not only add it to dishes you'd never expect it in, but then not list it.Stamps, please consider that given you have a very limited menu as it is, that you need to disclose an ingredient as polarising as coriander. It ruined what was meant to be a special meal and led me to leave my first Trip Advisor review ever.
Food amazing Service Atmosphere This restuarant is in my top 10. This place ticks all the boxes for excellence in every area. Fresh produce, waitresses with smiles on their faces serving magnificent dishes. Would definitely reccomend this place to anyone who appreciates good food which is served in a modern cuisine. We had an incredible meal at Stamps for our 10th wedding anniversary the food, service ambience was faultless! As a Coeliac, it was great they had a GF menu and the GF options in no way compromised the taste or quality of my meals, which were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend! Thank you Stamps!
Very cosy restaurant. The food was great as was the friendly and efficient service. When we booked we were advised there was no corkage which was a very welcome gesture as almost every group brought their own wine. The fact that every table was occupied clearly shows this is a quality restaurant.
A lovely cosy, small restaurant with excellent waiting staff and lovely, fulfilling food. Good wine list. The warmed olives were delicious. The roasted potatoes were nice but could have had more crunch. Random bread roll selection was fun. Recommend making a booking ahead of time.
