This restaurant only accepts cash, but the staff is fantastic! The hash browns are the best I've tasted in 40 years, whether at a diner or any other restaurant. The coffee is constantly brewed fresh, and the coffee pot is spotless, which really enhances the flavor. Although, it could be just a bit stronger. The Philly cheesesteak omelette was outstanding; I opted for the half size, and it still covered more than half the plate!
I've been enjoying meals at Star Diner for years, and it’s a must-visit whenever I'm in Norwalk. Just yesterday, I placed a takeout order, which is always the same: a meat lovers omelette, hash browns, white toast, and strawberry jelly. I have to say, in my opinion, this is the best breakfast ever! I absolutely love Star Diner and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!
Was out of town and looked for a local place for breakfast instead of a big chain. We found Star Diner. Such a cute diner with good food and fast service. Was not disappointed. Husband had the Philly omelet and I had the BLT both was delicous. Definitely would recommend if your traveling though Norwalk.

Was a great place! I'm glad we stopped on the way to Michigan!! Super good food and staff. Was a Sunday, even though they were slammed!! Everything was amazing. I found it on Google while we were driving.
Friendly service and good home cooking. One the better breakfast steaks I've had, thick and cooked to order not thin and over cooked. And good omelet.
