Stopped off here using the drive through after work... ordered a flat white with almond milk and a cappuccino... all good. Drove back toward home only 9 miles away but as the cappuccino was hot I didn’t taste it until I was half way home... it was made with SOUR milk! Thanks Starbucks! I couldn’t be bothered to turn back around as the whole point of a drive through is convenience right?.... as annoying as it was I went without and as I work close by thought I’d pop in on the morning run and tell them... The few times I have visited here over the past few days has been average. However they have a small plastic ‘beehive’ what’s filled with some sugary substance to feed the bees. Excellent I’m all for saving the bees, however this ‘beehive’ was full of wasps and placed IN the drive through window , so you’re essentially being handed sugary drinks and snacks whilst wasps are hovering round your arm. Yesterday I came for an iced coffee in the drive thru and the lady on the speaker sounded like she absolutely hated her job. After I was done ordering I made my way to window and whilst this lady was serving the car in front , she leaned out the window and stared at me for a good 10 seconds. Weird....
Unfortunately this is the only place near work so I have been in several times. Each time the service has been terrible. You will be ignored at the counter for approx 5 mins whilst they serve 3 other customers at the drive-through (even though you have bothered to get off your backside and come in). They don't even acknowledge you but deliberately avoid eye contact whilst they are milling about. When they do serve you they act like they have had to stop what they were doing to do you a favour! I have also had to ask them to top my refillable cup up because they give half portions. Its ****!
Very slow at serving both times recently when I went there. Took nearly half an hour of waiting for one coffee. Then 20 mins with only one person in front . They seem more bothered about serving drive through customers and ignoring those in the store . Staff didn’t apologise for any delay or say sorry for the wait etc . Barely said two words and don’t seem very friendly staff Apart from the bloke that works there he was polite and friendly . At almost £4 a pop for a coffee. I won’t be going back ! No sense of urgency, no presentation skills. Dirty cups left out on tables and no attempt to clear ours during our time there despite a few bored (but chatty) employees hanging around behind the counter. Unlike most I guess, I consider ‘going for coffees’ a treat but I’ll be sticking to Costa in future.
They were very rude and didn’t allow my daughter to sit inside with her friend in the pouring rain even tho she bought a drink they kicked them out for ordering water and told them they didn’t care and gave someone free water whilst they made my child pay £2 for a cup of tap water
Visited here late in the afternoon. Most tables had rubbish and/or used cups. Bin was overflowing. Floor dirty. 2 young ladies working behind the counter but no attempt to clean up. Pretty disappointed
Stopped by for a coffee when visiting Ortongate. Very slow service, but the coffee was great. The large cappuccino is huge and well made, it just takes too long to be served. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I’ve visited a few times and have always been unimpressed. The staff are painfully slow, especially the drive through and the drinks are very average. Costa is way better
