I have to say, I really don't recommend Stars in Palatine on Northwest Highway. The experience there has been very disappointing! The quality is just not consistent at all. The coffee tastes different every time I go, and I’ve wasted quite a bit of money on drinks that were just plain wrong. I feel bad having to keep asking the barista to remake my orders. Honestly, it’s gotten to the point where I don’t even bother asking anymore. I’m really frustrated, especially since this place is the closest option for me. I don't know what's changed over the past couple of years, but they really need to train their baristas to make drinks correctly and consistently.
I live near this Starbucks usually they had fresh and great coffee. I drink coffee everyday, since October 2021 something got changed, or brewing machine or they don’t clean the coffee maker.The coffee becoming increasingly bitter so I started going to other Starbucks location in Palatine. It’s far for me but they have great coffee. Today I couldn’t make it to Palatine so went to Starbucks near me, I was wondering to see if the coffee get better. But it was the same bitter coffee?
i decided to give this starbucks another chance... which was a terrible mistake. I ordered a caramel frappe and it came out soupy. Employee was nice enough to give me another but it was also soupy at the bottom. How do you mess up a frappe not once but twice... never coming back.

Great Starbucks. 95% of the staff are friendly, there's always 1 staff that will just ignore you, but that's fine there were plenty other friendly and polite staff members willing to help. My first drink was not correct, but they did remake it right away and it was ?!
Delicious! I decided to take a short break here, and I have to say I was not disappointed. I ordered a shaken iced tea lemonade and a scone, and that was probably one of the best combinations I've ever had, which I really didn't expect.
Didn’t ask for the size and gave me the tallest cup for honey citrus tea which was missing sweeteners which I was made aware while ordering! It cost me a lot!
Place was whatever, but this worker, Travis I believe was his name, definetely deserves a raise.

When a squirrel?️ needs coffee, that is a place to go. clean, helpful, fast, what they need.
A little slower than the other locations, but nice staff when you come to the drive thru.
