After a horrible experience at a Montreal restaurant last night, a friend recommended Steak and Frites.Started out with great service. I ordered the special, steak and all you can eat Frites for $27.I was first served homemade rolls, hot out of the oven with soft butter. Incredible!!Next the main came, done to perfection, med well.The steak was good, but the frites were so e of the best that I have ever had. I had two helpings, they give very generous portions and are happy to bring more.Overall, a fabulous dining experience. Highly recommended
The steak was delicious, though not outstanding. The lunch menu was a bit expensive. The service was lacking, as I had to track down the server to order and pay my bill. My water was never refilled. The food was good enough that I may return for dinner, as the pricing, service speed, and BYOB option would be more appropriate for evening dining. I would not recommend this place for lunch.
Went here with my wife as we both fancied steak for dinner and they had good ratings for their food plus it has the advantage of being a BYO wine restaurant. The food was very good, excellent steak and frites, with service to match. Really enjoyed our visit and having our own wine meant we could spend more on the food.
Service was very friendly but inconsistent. The food was good but not worth the price of $27 can for the signature steak and frites. The restaurant is byob which we did not know until we walked in but the hostess pointed me to a small store nearby that sold wine. Not sure I would return.

Visited the St. Paul St. Location in Old Montreal. The steak was done to perfection. The restaurant was basic in atmosphere but the service was good. You could bring your own wine, a great way to have a good meal without a high bill.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Terrasse outside in Gay Village. Many Steak Frites in Montreal Family type. Bring your wine.
you pick toppings sauce and pasta you want in front of the chef and he will make it in front of you !
This is a solid chain that has above par food..a great menu and you can bring your own wine.
