The food was decently priced and what I expected from Steak N Shake. What I didn't expect was to do all of the work except cooking, for myself, and then be asked for a tip prior to me knowing I would be doing all of the work.When you walk in, there are about 4 kiosks to place your order kind of like McDonalds has, but at least McDonalds still has someone who will take your order if you need it . You pay and leave an optional tip. You get a number and then go seat yourself.When your order is ready, someone yells your order number. You go up to the counter, where no one is there to help, and bring your own order back to your table. You eat, and then are expected to bus your own table by emptyi...
I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a strawberry banana shake, but they informed me they couldn't make it, even though both ingredients are listed on the menu. Frustrated, I decided to forget the shake and ordered the Frisco melt instead. However, it wasn't even cut when it was served. The staff, particularly Dionne who took my order, were quite rude and spoke to me in a condescending manner, as if I were a child. I believe the employees need better training to enhance their customer service skills.
Awful experience. We placed a food order for pickup and received confirmation. However, when we arrived, the doors were closed. We drove around to the pick-up window and explained that we were there to collect our order. We were told that pickup orders should have been placed differently, but we had already paid for our meals. When I asked how they would resolve the issue, they insisted there was no problem. The service was incredibly disappointing. I would never recommend this place.
the staff is rude and dissatisfied, the female work lost her understanding with me when I told her that we would come back to walmart to pick up our order. they started yelling at me, not being rude. I hadn't raised my voice so much. I had to file a credit card dispute to get my order back. these people are unhinged and I would recommend to avoid all costs unless they like their bad burgers with a side crazy.

Steak and shake has gone 1000 downhill... There are no longer servers, nobody takes your order, you don't get greeted when you walk in anymore, there's like 3 people total in the whole place and everything is self serve. The food was mediocre at best and I used to love this place... There's no personalization anymore it's like a robot restaurant now.
The tables were dirty for dining, and the kiosk ordering detracted from the atmosphere I used to associate with Steak n Shake. To make matters worse, there was a lack of customer service and professionalism. Unfortunately, this place that I loved 20 years ago is no longer the same, and I won't be returning. It's truly disappointing!
If you had asked me before, I would have given this place a 5 out of 5. The burgers are absolutely incredible, and the service is consistently quick. The prices are unbeatable. However, I advise against ordering the chicken tenders from now on—they no longer meet the quality standards, and I can't recommend them anymore.
The food was good, but the ordering system was a hassle. You have to place your order at a kiosk, pick up your own food, and throw away your own trash. Then they still expect a tip? That seems a bit much. Someone asked for salt and was told they needed to order it from the kiosk. Seriously?

Not at all what it use to be. Still good food. Like going to a deserted island. Businesses like this use to add jobs to the area. Being a first job for many people. If they don't want to support the community why would the community support them. BOYCOTT
