I love this place, but the night team has made our whole order wrong. He told us that we cannot add ranch to our order in the window, gave us no receipt, so we could say the name on it or get my points, gave us 2 simple burgers with cheese only if I had a number 5 garlic burgers and a children burgers no cheese, we ordered a speciality shake and got a simple one. And the icing on the cake was when we came back by the drive to tell them that this was not our order, they only looked at us, locked the window and pretended we were not there. I wouldn't have taken care of it if they had just made a burger without cheese. I honestly just want my money back because I got demolished and this job is...
This restaurant no longer has a drive-thru service. Customers must go inside to pick up their orders or choose carry-out. Orders are placed online, through the app, or using the kiosks provided. Despite the lack of a traditional ordering process, the food is still of good quality and prepared quickly. The staff working during my visit were all very helpful and respectful. They even gave us extra onion rings as a gesture of apology for a slight delay in our food preparation. The interior of the restaurant was a bit dingy and dirty, but it was late in the day.
We have been protecting this restaurant since it was founded. Last night we ordered on the line to pick up. The online order gave a pickup time, but when we arrived, they did not even begin to prepare our order. It was finished about 40 minutes later. When the order was finished, almost nothing was as we had ordered. Neither milkshake was ordered. No BBQ sauce with the onion rings. No bacon on the grilled cheese sandwich. I doubt that we will ever apply this restaurant to any place.
I was double charged for a meal at this restaurant and despite numerous attempts to get a refund over the past month, I have had no success. Every time I contact them, I am told that the store manager needs to handle it, but nothing has been resolved. I have reached out to my bank and spoken to the franchise manager, who said that the money may not have even gone through. I was charged an extra $30 for no apparent reason and have yet to receive a refund.

I had a door dash for 2 people and these workers told me that I would have to wait 3 mins for the 1st order I got the 1st order. Then 10 mins on the 2nd order but I waited a whole hour on the 2nd order to find out the guy said he doesn’t have the order! So my 1st customer had to wait a whole hour for their food! They need more staffing! And they need organization!
On a busy Sunday night, we were informed by the waitress that there would be a slight wait. We were fine with that, as we are from Abilene and do not have a Steak 'n Shake nearby. The food was great, and our waitress was extremely pleasant and friendly. Every time we have visited, it has been a wonderful experience. Thank you. The food was impressive and fresh.
I didn't have high expectations for the food at Steak and Shack, but I was pleasantly surprised. The comfort food had decent flavor and the service was quick and friendly. I would definitely consider coming back for a fast and affordable meal.
Ashley was so nice! I drove off without half my order (my mistake). I came back and they made it fresh and threw in a free large fries. So nice. The food is great too. Thanks Steak and Shake and especially Ashley.

The food is tasty, but a bit pricey. The service is lacking, yet the self checkout still asks for a tip. The oddity was having to scan a QR code to use the drink machine. It's a bit strange.
