Food was good, great even. But the new Steak 'n Shake dining model is disappointing. No wait staff, you order at an electronic kiosk and wait for them to call your name. If you need anything you have to wait to see someone walking in the back and try toget thier attention. (Good luck! No peppers, season salt, or mustard on the tables just little packets of salt/pepper andketchup on the counter now. The whole original feel of the restaurant is gone, the pictures of car hops and waitresses on thewalls remind you of how a diner should be. If you 're craving Steak 'n Shake, just go the drive through.
We love Steak'n Shake! We just ate at the one on Lindbergh in St. Louis, and was waited on by Ali. What a sweetheart! We aren't from this area, so it's our first time here. We were seated fairly quickly considering how busy the place was. We received our drinks and food quickly, it was correct and delicious! Next time we are in town, we will eat here again.
I am glad this Steak and Shake is still open. It is right next to my Dentist's Office, and it has become my ritual to stop by for a Double Garlic Steakburger Combo (with a shake instead of a coke) after a visit to my dentist. Delicious, even though the garlic butter soaked through several pages of a book I was reading while waiting for my order.
I had a wonderful experience with outstanding service from a fantastic waitress and the food was delicious! I will definitely be returning since I’ve already visited several times.

The service at this restaurant is awful. This is the second time they have ignored our orders and talked over us. I hope they improve their customer service in the future.
Upon arriving, I was greeted quickly, and the staff were both friendly and professional. The restrooms in the restaurant were impressively clean.
