First time there. Treated a friend, who was visiting from another state, for his birthday. First, the atmosphere was surprisingly bright and open, not what I’d expected for a high-end steak place. More of a “diner” feel than a steakhouse. We had reservations and were seated promptly on arrival. Service was good, informative, and attentive. We started with appetizers, shrimp cocktail and “grilled simply pure sweets sourdough” (which was nothing more than a small loaf of sliced sourdough…something usually complimentary at most steakhouses). Very disappointing experience.Service: Made a reservation for my birthday and the experience was subpar for a higher end steakhouse. The reservation mentioned celebrating a special occasion (ie Birthday) and no one acknowledged or even asked if we were celebrating an occasion.Food: Ordered the Truffle Fries and were surprised they ever zested with lemon (a first for us I very much dislike Lemon so wasn't a fan). They did make us new fries without the lemon and they was good. When it came to the main course, I ordered a 16 oz. ribeye and was disappointed by the amount of fat on the steak (seen in photo). This was our first time at Steakhouse Five. It was a disappointing experience overall. I ordered the 16oz ribeye, medium. I would say about 7 oz of it was inedible as it was very undercooked and fattier than I would expect. My wife's situation was far worse. There was a major issue with her meal that required it to go back. It took along time to get her meal replaced. They did provide a salad, which was appreciated, but in my opinion this was insufficient considering the problem. The atmosphere was poor, as we were quite literally two feet away from a very loud table in full on party mode. As a starter, we enjoyed the Truffle Fries, which were fantastic. For my main course, I had the center cut filet topped with bacon marmalade butter, accompanied by Brussels sprouts. My husband opted for the bone-in pork chop served with bourbon Dijon crème and squash casserole. Everything was absolutely delicious, and my medium-rare filet was cooked to perfection! For dessert, we shared the dark chocolate crème brûlée; my husband is a fan of crème brûlée, and I adore dark chocolate! Our server, Brian, was exceptional and very attentive to our needs. We’ve made Steakhouse Five our go-to spot for date nights, and we always request Jason as our server. He is fantastic—attentive and truly one of the best servers at the restaurant. He consistently enhances our dining experience with outstanding customer service! If you’re new to Steakhouse Five, I highly recommend trying it out. The food is delicious, especially the pork chop! And be sure to ask for Jason!
Atmosphere is great and the service was great...food was horrible! I ordered the tomato soup which came out plain, needed salt and luke warm if not cool. Mashed potatoes had no flavor, had to ask for salt and pepper to even eat and the fried green tomatoes had no flavor and had to use a steak knife to even cut through them. Whomever the chef is, you need to taste your food before sending it out!!
Went here with some friends. We had a great time. I got the pork chop with Brussel sprouts. It was every bit of five inches thick. Cooked to my liking. It was big enough for three servings. Took some home. Our server was great. He kept our water glasses full. Kept our table clean. And kept the food coming. No complaints.
