Empty for a Tuesday evening. Only one other couple sitting at the tables. The bar area was pretty full. The waitress was friendly, she was new and act like she didn't know what she was doing. Overall experience was not enjoyable at all. It took 35-40 minutes for the chips to be put on the table. As appetizers, the Shrimp Montaditos was over cooked. If it was just right, it would have tasted amazing, but instead we got hard crust. It took 50 minutes for that to come out, and the appetizers came out with our dinner. We were told the kitchen was backed up, but the place was pretty empty. I watched as patrons from the bar kept going back toward the kitchen area and putting in orders. Not profess...
I wish I could give this place zero stars. This is the second time I have visited and had a terrible experience. The dish I ordered was supposed to be curry chicken, but the entire order was incorrect. When I called to see if I could return the items and get the right order, the cook insisted that it was what I had ordered. I repeated my order three times to two different people, yet it still came out wrong. When I asked to speak to the manager, the cook claimed he was the owner and refused to do anything about it. Save your money and don't bother eating here - a huge disappointment.
They made us wait almost an hour for the food.The jerk wasn't jerking. This one girl (I think she was a server) made the bartender do EVERYTHING . I was told by people that recommend this place that she worked there for years but doesn't know what the party is doing and she is super rude. The only good thing was the kool-aid and the rasta pasta (that was supposed to have shrimp in it)
I ordered take out and I was the only one there it took me over half hour to get my food which was just OK. I dinner waiting that long that the orders have to be made to order. Being there for my first time I assumed the food had to be out of this world (fried whiting and steamed cabbage) to have taking so long. To only get it and it was OK at best

If you don't want to wait an hour and a half for your food, do not visit this restaurant. It is currently 8:34 pm and I ordered my food at 7:00 pm. Their excuse for the delay is Uber orders. It is unfair for in-person patrons to suffer because of Uber orders, especially when there are no other customers in the restaurant. This is unacceptable.
We ordered the battered fish chips, macncheese, chili-tai wingettes and garden salad for takeout. The food was hot, fresh and very testy. Paid $43 for everything which we think was fare considering the food was good. Took a minute to get everything but was worth the wait.
I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday with an intimate dinner at this restaurant and we had a fantastic time. The staff was extremely attentive and welcoming. We absolutely adored their rasta pasta dish! We will definitely be coming back here regularly.
Wonderful experience. My neices gender reveal held at the steam house. The food was delicious. ! The staff wonderful and a special shout out to the bartender J she's dope.

Steam House is the best notch! The best Mt. Vernon facility for great food, great service and fabulous entertainment! Second to none. I highly recommend it!
Excellent Fried Chicken with Rice and Beans. Great portions. Seasoned very nicely! Only complaint was very long wait!
