This restaurant is hidden out of the main Beach Avenue and out of the big crowds, just under the Buarcos Church. Dishes are as traditional as you can get it and the Bacalhau is one of the stars of the menu. A huge, massive slice o Cod Fish with perfect cooking time is a good example of how to heat well in Portugal. Quality price is very good and specially the price of the wine is a good surprise. The decoration is quite unique, packed with antiques and even a fire place that they put to work in cold days. Sure I will recommend and return if possible.
The staff was 5-stars: very polite, courteous and helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant and calm. it's a bit aside from the seafront, but it's worth walking less than a yard to have dinner there. We have tried the best octopus rice I have ever eaten. We went back twice during our stay to repeat the same dish: just delicious. The wine was excellent and not expensive at all, unlike other restaurants. Amazing food and atmosphere, excellent wine, friendly staff and not expensive at all. I strongly recommend this restaurant.
O ambiente acolhedor e o pessoal de extrema dedicação e educação cativou-nos logo de imediato e fez-nos repetir em mais noites que lá passámos. O melhor e mais delicioso arroz de polvo que alguma vez comi.O sítio é recatado, ligeiramente afastado da marginal, onde pululam os restaurantes, mas vale a pena procurar esta jóia de Buarcos.
Boa comida, com bom serviço em um ambiente tradicional de um serviço tradicional. Porém, o espaço interior é um pouco apertado, e o ambiente ao redor do restaurante torná-lo difícil de chegar e de estacionar o carro. We only wish this place was closer to where we live. A genuine gem. Great food, huge helpings, friendly and helpful staff, in a lovely elegant but homey ambience. The prices were amazing. Five of us ate with wine, desert and coffee for €75. Tucked in a pretty backstreet of Figuera da Foz.
Muito recomendável. Um espaço lindo e o Alquino foi super atencioso, simpático e gentil. A comida é farta, muito saborosa e com bons produtos nacionais. É um prazer reencontrar restaurantes típicos portugueses, onde se sente em casa e desfruta de uma experiência magnífica.
Restaurant situé dans une église les plats sont frais , fait maison et très bon ,l'accueil au petit soins ,propreté impeccable ,situé dans une petite rue. A buarcos faut fuire les bords de mer.
