The food and service were very good. Our wait staff was very attentive. The noise level was very loud and type of music playing did not fit the setting and ambiance. It was loud and really ruined the experience for us we were ages 21 to 65, even the youngest of us felt the music was awful. Management might want to rethink the music and loudness level. I would like to recommend Root to friends, but I don't know anyone who would enjoy the experience because of that one factor.
We visited early on a Sunday evening. It was pretty quiet, but the floor and decoration suggest the noise level would be higher when fully occupied. We ordered focacia appetizer, lamb ragu, bologna sandwich and apple cherry Michigan salad. Everything was well prepared. Fries were house cut. Leftover containers were recyclable.
The food was exsquite. I do not think I have had a better meal. The ribeye so delicous. The orchard salad is my favorite. I did not care for the greens, but I do not like greens. The food is so upscale, I cannot wonder why the workers wera jeans and flannel shirts. Their clothing is a total miss.
Root is one of our favorite restaurants. My husband and I have been coming here since they first opened. Sunday brunch is delightful! We have also had several family holiday meals here as well as just a weeknight dinner. Staff is courteous and quick. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The Root is our go-to restaurant when we are looking for a special meal as a couple or with friends. Food is very good. Service is always timely and friendly (we had the pleasure of Katie's attention this time). The fixed price menu is a real value.
We celebrated our 30th Anniversary and our waitress went over and beyond! She brought us sparkling champagne and ended with a dessert on the house! The food was great and we enjoyed our celebration! Thank you so much!!!
We ordered the baked brie and scallop appetizers and rib eyes for the main course. All was perfectly prepared and delisious. Expresso over vanilla Gelato was the perfect shared ending to a wonderful meal.

So disappointed in the food, meat was over cooked, French fries looked like all the scraps. Was so excited to take my Mom and was so disappointed.
