Terrible experience with Steve Costis in Northbridge. As a 15 year local resident, it’s clear the only reason to go here is convenience. Product quality is average and pricing is ridiculously expensive compared to the fish market. This weekend we were in a rush and needed specific items to make dinner for 12 of us a big , expensive order of shellfish. We paid for our wrapped product, and headed off to our friends up the coast ready to make a special dinner. On opening the packages, of course it was completely different to we ordered and paid for. I had a disappointing experience at Steve Costi’s Seafood. The customer service was abysmal upon arriving, the two employees were too engrossed in their phones to even acknowledge my presence at the counter. When I inquired about their advertised lunch special, they reluctantly responded, only to inform me that they didn't have it available. What's worse, they didn't bother removing the signage advertising the special, leaving customers misled. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the names of the unhelpful staff members, but their lack of professionalism was unmistakable. Overall, a frustrating and unsatisfactory visit.
This afternoon purchased 4 Dory Fillets at an exorbitant price but non the less it was going to be dinner tonight! Got home to cook the fish and after unwrapping the fish the smell was unbearable! I phoned the store and the staff that served me told me they were fresh today and asked me when I was back in! Not sure what he thought we’d have for dinner tonight! I won’t be going back! Keep the money! Even the dog turned its head! Very very disappointing!

I regularly purchase seafood from Costis at Northbridge and have always found the staff extremely friendly, helpful and polite. We are impressed with the quality of the seafood and were so pleased when they reopened after the renovations. Watching their preparation and the way the produce is displayed you can see that the staff take great pride in their work. I wouldn’t buy my seafood anywhere else.
I bought prawns salad yesterday and non of prawns were clean and I feel soil part in every bite. Please teach your chef how to clean prawns ! I’ll definitely try again to see if anything changes. If not my review will stay 1 star.
Today i buy some fresh fish and had grilled salmon here this place is very good with amazing staff who’s always ready to help with smile Best place to count for fresh fish and cooked food
Been a 2year and still going here best place to buy a fresh fish /and their fish and chips and grilled salmon is absolutely amazing
