This restaurant has a classic NYC vibe reminiscent of Katz's Deli. The menu offers a wide range of traditional Jewish and American dishes. The standout item is the massive corned beef and pastrami sandwich—it’s simply the best. Don’t forget to pair it with one or two sides of Steve’s Russian dressing for an extra kick. The matzo soup and kreplach soup are both fantastic, and the Bergedorf salad is remarkable as well—it's a full meal in a salad!
I'm giving 5 stars because it's usually very good. Yesterday I paid for my usually extra lean corned beef on steamed Kaiser with spicy mustard. Unfortunately it was not lean. I guess that part was not relayed to the person who made my sandwich, I wish they had not relayed the charge to the cashier.
The restaurant offers excellent performance, but not much variety in the menu. It is somewhat pricey, but the deli sandwiches are outstanding. Be aware that the dining area is quite small, so it might not be suitable for those who are claustrophobic.
The food was excellent! I ordered the pastrami sandwich, and the meat was outstanding. The fries were also really tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant; you can choose to sit indoors and enjoy the music or opt for the hallway for a quieter experience.
Outstanding! We come a long way to indulge in this fantastic deli. The sandwiches are superb, and the daily specials are definitely worth sampling. Generous portions, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere make Steve's Deli a must-visit!
Absolutely no discomfort pastrami on rye, matzoh ball soup, and the tuna of my friend with tomatoes was on the point! Our server (younger, high, dark-haired) could no longer record, although we kept her table too long. Thank you.
Fantastic! I ordered the beef stew, and it was the best I've ever had! The beef was wonderfully tender, and it paired perfectly with the vegetables and potatoes. I'm definitely coming back!
Steve's Deli is a true gem with the BEST corned beef I've tasted in a long time! I will drive from downtown Detroit again anytime to enjoy their food and top level customer service!
A classic. I’ve never had a bad meal here and we always have leftovers to bring home and enjoy. The soup and sandwich is the real play for value here. That bagel chip!
