Honestly, I loved almost everything about my experience here. The food was amazing, my server was sweet and talkative, the host was great, the ambiance was comfortable and warm. The only issue I had was that, when my entire arrived, I found a small hair in the sauce at the far side of my dish. Because it was only in a bit of the sauce and didn 't affect the food (and I was hungry, no lie), I sort of fished it out, wiped that sauce off the plate, and dropped the hair on the floor. I've always heard great things about Stone Bar Inn, so I chose to celebrate my birthday and Valentine's Day there this year. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the expectations. The restaurant was incredibly dark—I felt like I was eating in a cave. While my wife’s prime rib was cooked to perfection, my crab-stuffed seabass left much to be desired. It was nearly swimming in cream sauce, which overwhelmed the dish. The fish was small and underwhelming, and the crab stuffing didn’t impress me either. I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The hostess and our server were incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. The drinks were fantastic, the appetizer was tasty, and the house salad was among the best I’ve ever had. Both of the main courses we ordered were outstanding. Even though I was stuffed from dinner, we couldn’t resist trying dessert to see if it matched the quality of the other dishes—and it certainly did! I’m already looking forward to our next visit.
I ordered the crab cake along with a medium-well steak, and both dishes were cooked to perfection. The crab cake was brimming with crab meat and was absolutely delicious. However, the sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking and didn't complement the dish well. I noticed that two other meat dishes were also served with the same sweet sauce. My family and I generally prefer our meals without any sauce, as we think they would taste much better that way.

We had an incredible dinner at Stone Inn. The atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and romantic. The service was exceptional, with our server Allison being knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The food was outstanding— the best duck I've ever tasted. The shrimp creole appetizer was both flavorful and visually stunning. The salads were fresh and delicious. We will definitely be returning.
We visited Stone Inn on Saturday night for a special dinner, and from the host to the waitress and all the staff, everyone was incredibly charming and attentive. The menu completely impressed us! We enjoyed the fried mozzarella, French onion soup, prime rib, and veal—all the entrees were exceptional. Plus, the Martinis were fantastic. We will definitely be returning!
I have been visiting the Poconos for many years, and since 2000, my favorite restaurant has been the Stone Bar Inn. Over all these years, I have never had a single dish that didn’t impress me. The game plate featuring venison, duck, and boar sausage is a particular favorite of mine. Even the side salads are outstanding.
