We have had an early (4:30pm dinner this past weekend. We have been there several times before but over 15 years ago. No specific reason for the lapse. just never got back. Our past experience was: Food and service 5 stars, Atmosphere: upscale (dressy , Prices: reasonable for the quality and portions. The steak Au Poivre was the best I have ever had. New experience: The atmosphere, is more casual (almost rustic , The host wearing a flannel shirt, and the waitress wearing a down vest. After other guests arrived, I thought it was a bit noisy but then realized there wasn 't a person dining under 80 (guessing hearing problems, LOL , I 'm 65 and felt like a kid, LOL. They are SO good with food allergies! The waitresses made sure I got something flavorful and good even with all my restrictions. (Gluten, dairy, eggs, and shellfish) I usually feel slightly sick after eating at places from cross contamination but this place left me feeling hungry for more. We absolutely love this place! The food is fantastic, and the service is excellent. We've been coming here for years and always start with three orders of baked clams as an appetizer for just the two of us—they're simply the best! Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.
Restaurant out of the Blue which you probably pass many times. Quaint and comfortable setting with Great Effort Service and Excellent Food! If you're in the area a definite visit destination.
