The quiet atmosphere worked to our advantage as we enjoyed a quick family meal (the Sunday roasts were great, affordable, and the service was attentive and friendly), but I wondered if the locals were missing out. The Storm restaurant at the Dower House Hotel is a spacious, clean, and comfortable dining spot with views of the gardens (where local club meetings sometimes take place) near the Knaresborough railway station and the River Nidd. The chef, who trained with Michelin-starred chefs according to the website, specializes in modern European cuisine with seasonal ingredients.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Despite booking ahead of time, we had several table options in a modern dining room. The Sunday roast was exceptional, offering delicious fare at a reasonable price, complete with generous servings of Yorkshire puddings and a well-selected wine list. We met up with relatives to have a meal at Storm, Two fussy eaters and two vegetarians our meal was excellent. I would recommend you try the smoked haddock fish cake and the slowly cooked belly pork it was delicious.The staff were very friendly and helpfull we will definitely eat there again.
Me and my partner decided to go and eat at Storm restaurant, and so glad we did. The food was excellent, very tasty, service was great, very friendly waiters, nothings too much. Deffinately reccomend to freinds family and we will be returning ourselfs :
Food to die for! Me and my hubby had the 3 course set menu for 19.95 and while you expect good food for that much money I was still blown away. Service was quick and helpful, deffo recommend and I will be coming back shortly
