Absolutely. This is a sophisticated restaurant with a focus on expertly prepared fish and shellfish dishes. It may not be the best fit for families with young, noisy children. It's interesting how in other countries, children are able to enjoy dishes like oysters and mussels without causing chaos. Until children in the UK can behave similarly, it would be helpful for the restaurant to put up a sign requesting that children be kept under control. This way, those looking for a peaceful dining experience can enjoy the restaurant's fantastic food and atmosphere. It's important to support this restaurant, especially during the quieter winter months, by catering to their core customers.
would never book again. Didn't even get there. They canceled late afternoon stating problem in kitchen. We had walked to the restaurant in the afternoon and seen notice on door saying not open that day. Called them and was told they would be open that evening, the notice hadn't been taken down the previous day. We had our doubts as inside had looked deserted and had not been used for a while. Few hours later received a TEXT apologising that work being carried out in kitchen had not been completed. Felt very let down as this was a surprise for my wife, and I'd booked an overnight stay. Someone was not being honest with us. A big letdown.
Service wasn 't good. Menu looked small and a bit expensive. Also, the descriptions were like mussel in sauce and I was like is that just 1 mussle and the staff said she would check. She came back and said you get 3 muscles. So I ordered the prawns. Loads of prawns and really good. Meanwhile, the lady in the next table had the mussel and had a whole bowl full! Main course was lovely. Slow, but we weren 't in a hurry. Friendly, if not competent. I 'd go again.
Fifteen of us went to celebrate a birthday party. Despite being short-staffed due to illness, everyone was served promptly and the food was divine. Full marks to Sandip out front and chef out back. The food was cooked to perfection and presented impeccably. We all had a fantastic evening.
This seafood restaurant is truly fantastic. I started with some local oysters and then had the whole lemon sole with a delicious butter and caper sauce. The flavors were incredible and the seafood was incredibly fresh!
Great place to eat. Friendly staff. Quite pricey but you get what you pay for. Top quality well cooked food. The free amuse bouche fish soup was amazing. Definitely going back again. Nice relaxed atmosphere and decor.
The restaurant was very quiet with a strange Disney-inspired soundtrack playing. The quality of the food was okay, but didn't seem worth the price.
