We had booked an Christmas Dinner here this month for a large party, as the night went on a drink was brought to the table that had floaters through the drink, we asked for a new drink and the owner who was very aggressive shouting...and cursing said that we mixed it, which lead to an argument. Anyways long story short the abuse that was handed out by the owner was disgusting and when I phoned the next day to straighten out what happened I was told by the manager that I was lieing! We've been to Le Winters on quite a few occasions now and we've always been very impressed on each visit. The staff always greet us warmly and make us feel so welcome. The menu has a great variety to choose from and is very reasonably...priced. Despite the wide selection, The Silverside is so delicious we usually choose this every single time. Booked a table for we had a lengthy wait for water ordered and someone to come take the order of our main meal. Again a lengthy wait after we'd finished our main meal, we eventually caught the attention of one of the waiting staff,...and we ordered desserts at the same time approximately During this time we watched as families who came in after us, had there meals and left. As we waited for our desserts a manager came over to ask if everything was ok, we started to tell him about the lengthy waits and his response was It wouldn't be like yous if yous weren't complaining or words to that effect and walked away. My husband and I were here on Friday evening. What can I say, but an outstanding experience. My husband has mobility issues, and Darren, the restaurant manager was excellent, his service, personality and attention to detail was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Staff service...was prompt and attentive. The food was excellent and the variety was extensive. Our first night out since my husband's illness and we were able to relax, laugh and enjoy, with everything taken care of without having to worry about a thing. A genuinely brilliant evening. Was booked for the restaurant last Saturday evening with friends, booked a table for some food and drinks (and watch the Champions league final), was “greeted” by a “head waiter” who clearly was not happy at his work, the rest of the staff were friendly...and helpful, but the first guy completely put us off. Food was good and the company was great, decent selection of beers but the “head waiter” put us off completely. I won’t be back...
Ordered roast beef dinners for delivery on Sunday. They were delivered promptly. Massive portion with lots of lovely vegetables, the roast beef was so tender. You also get extra gravy in a separate tub and a massive Yorkshire pudding. I'll be honest that I...wasn't expecting much for a takeaway roast but I will definitely be ordering again. It was delivered by a local taxi company as well so helped them out too!
Booked table for family in the library for dinner on September to celebrate anniversary. Having visited this hotel/restaurant in the past pre covid and can honestly say have never had a meal or service that warranted any complaint. There are a lot of...restaurants in Newtownards and this one is hard to beat
Overall good food. Took a while for staff to attend. There was some sort of staff interview going on behind us, which i found very odd to be happening out in the open. Could hear near every word of the poor girls dressing down. Unprofessional.

Brilliant lunch, brilliant service. Bar manager Darren couldn’t be more helpful professional and friendly (great craic actually). Highly recommend for a lunch and a pint any time
Went for food and a girls nite out. All I can say is thanks to Darren the manager from start to finish he couldn't do enough for us.
