Drove into the city centre to start our hop on hop off Titanic experience and came across Strikes Café as we headed into town. We were acknowledged by the staff the minute we walked in the door, that was a bonus. Lots of seating available...and although there were a lot of tables you didn't feel crammed in which was nice. The place had a homely greasy spoon type feel about it without it being tacky. The menu was large and varied and the prices were excellent everything from soup and a sandwich for under a fiver to or so for a steak meal. The waiting staff were quick efficient and friendly. There seemed to be lots of banter going on with the staff and customers which gave it an even cosier fe...
Was on a day trip to Belfast and fancied a local cafe instead of the usual chain and after wandering for a bit came upon Strikes cafe. Menu looked good so went in and ordered the chicken kiev. Food was great, really tasty and a...big portion. The old waitress serving us however was quite rude and dismissive. She seemed nice with other guests, maybe because we weren't locals? The younger waitress was nice who we paid our bill too but the old one needs to improve on her manners and customer service skills. Very bad service which was a shame as the cafe food was great and the place had lots of character.
It was a really cold, wet day and we wanted something warm but light for lunch. There was a soup and sandwich deal which liked good. We ordered soup and asked what the sandwich would be. Chicken or ham. I asked if I could have...cheese (and did). The sandwiches were horrible. Nasty white sliced bread (I would never buy that at home) and synthetic margarine. The staff weren't that friendly either. The main meals looked okay. Limited selection but good value for money but our lunch certainly was not.
we left here because blinkers were packed. have been sitting all day. greasy fried soda, cheap quality sausage speck the fried egg was so hard that they can use it as a door lock. I replaced my egg, but I really don't enjoy it. any of the meal. the softdrinks are small expensive. in contrast to blinkers, the employees were generally unfriendly. the place seemed grubby it was half empty. will not be back.

here a quick lunch after the city bus tour and was not disappointed. had the hunch roast dinner and woman had a panini both were delicious and good quality. I have marked it because of the excessive drinks. we ordered two coks that came in very small glasses and the bill realized that these were each. too much. would come back.
Visiting Belfast for the day and stopped here for lunch. Lovely wee cafe and food is good old fashioned home cooked grub! I had a roast chicken dinner which was outstanding, couldn’t eat it all as it was just too much, however hubs helped with...the rest!! Will definitely visit again next we’re there.
My wife and I visited Strikes on our recent short break visit to Belfast. Having arrived early in Belfast we decided to have breakfast here. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. There were lots of local people eating in the cafe ..which is always a good indicator. Well worth a visit.
another place I've been visiting since my childhood, I love it here. the only problem I ever had is that it is very tightly sitting smart, especially if there are one or more children's cars and/or wheelchairs. eating is always tasty, the personal is always...loving and it is always cozy.

Each time my wife and I eat in Strikes, we thoroughly enjoy the eating experience: good wholesome food; served hot, and most reasonably priced. Good space at small tables for enjoying tasty, well cooked food. I recommend Strikes to all hungry tourists to Belfast City...Centre.
we visited the breakfast it was cheap and gave me the desirtary cheap decoration and cheap food to summarize this tempo is a dive. smokers from the front of the whole place oozes rat.
