My wife recommended this restaurant after being referred by a friend. This restaurant is located downtown Pleasanton along busy Main St. Main Street is filled a myriad of shops and restaurants. On weekends, this place can be pretty crowded. Parking canbe challenging because of the limited parking so plan accordingly. The restaurant offers indoors or outside dining. Theinterior is nicely done with old pictures of years gone by. On this occasion there was only one waiter who promptly seated us.Our waiter was friendly and attended to our needs. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and the staff were polite, attentive, and efficient. My wait was short and the meal delicious. My only minor qualm was that the air conditioning was a little on the cool side of the scale. Perhaps, as mysiblings and I were the first patrons to arrive with the dining area empty... Still, warmer clothing was required. Then therewas the ubiquitous curse of the flies. We had to change our seats farther from the front window where they were congregating, Isuppose, to sun themselves.
Bad day at this great place. Covid means only 2 waitstaff. Means everyone serves everyone and we are ignored. To top it off the oven was not working properly when my batch of chicken Parmesan was prepped. So instead of fork-tender, I could not cut mychicken with a steak knife. I was told that the chef had already tossed one batch. I’m so disappointed in Strizzi’s today.Be sure to check when ordering an oven dish.
Strizzis never disappoints! The menu is great, something for everyone! Prices are reasonable, especially the small plates, and portions are filling. We were delighted to find free soup or salad from 2-6 pm! Tiramisu cannot be beat. A standby for us and didn't disappoint. They have a great salad/entree deal with moderate portions if you're not starving or don't want a lot of leftovers to take home. We all ended up ordering from that part of the menu. Love their marinara sauce.
Strizzi's always delivers! We began our meal with a spinach salad and minestrone soup. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese, while my wife enjoyed the wood grilled salmon. And of course, we couldn't resist taking their delicious bread pudding to go.
Pleasanton Strizzi's is consistent. The food is great. We really like the marinara sauce. My favorite is between the lasanga and the chicken parm. Service is great. Thank you and see you next Wednesday.

Pure comfort food from a local Italian restaurant. Bread was very good and pasta was delicious. Caramel Apple Ginger Crisp for dessert was very good too.
