I recently dined at a restaurant located inside a gas station that also has a Subway. When I arrived, I saw a Subway employee lounging on the counter, fully engrossed in his phone with an earbud in. His unprofessional demeanor and apparent disregard for both his job and the customers made me decide against eating there, not just for that day but potentially for quite some time. While I understand that things can get slow, this employee's attitude prompted me to seek out better dining options nearby, such as DeCarlo's, which is just a few miles away.
This Subway used to be fantastic, but lately, I've noticed that the staff isn't giving enough filling in the sandwiches. When I'm paying $12 for a sandwich, I expect a generous helping of meat and vegetables, not just a tiny amount. At first, I thought my experience was a one-off, so I returned three times, but each time they skimped on the fillings. Now, I prefer to go to the Subway in Olympia Plaza, which I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Despite a clear sign at the entrance stating that masks are required for everyone, I noticed two Subway employees—one preparing food and the other at the register—who were not wearing masks. Additionally, three customers also entered without masks. This is a violation of Allegheny County regulations in response to Covid-19. Failing to wear masks poses a safety risk and is illegal.
I noticed a few flies buzzing around, which was a bit off-putting, but I understand that it can be challenging to manage with automatic sliding doors. The service was prompt, and the sandwiches were delicious. It's a great place to grab a quick lunch, plus you have the added advantage of being able to pick up other typical gas station items since this Subway is located inside one.

The young boy appeared to be more focused on his phone than on preparing my meal. He was polite, but he accidentally toasted my sandwich three times, which ended up burning it. Overall, the service was geared towards takeout during lunchtime, with prices ranging from $1 to $10 per person.
Located on my favorite street, this Subway offers exceptional customer service that truly stands out. The staff are fantastic, and I always make sure to leave a generous tip.
