During my recent visit to Subway, I encountered an issue with the night shift employee. It was around 9:45 PM, and when I mentioned I would be paying in cash, he informed me that they were only accepting card payments at that time. I found it surprising that a restaurant would run out of cash change. I quickly switched to my card and ordered six sandwiches, but he told me that was too many for him to prepare so late.
