Had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast with the family. The food is well presented and full of flavour. Had the grandchildren as well, but the children's menu is not printed, you need to ask the wait staff and there were only two items available for the younger customer.All of the breakfast items that we had were well presented and the family enjoyed their dishes. It seems that what attracts people are the amazing drinks. And they are certainly works of art, but they need to ensure that there is good flavour int he drinks to match the visual appeal. What a shame the staff here dont know how to smile. We enjoyed a lunch today - food was great and shakes looked good - that's where it ends. Staff were rude - I have not a single nice thing to say about any of the servers. Food did come out quick even though they were busy but to work in this type of industry you need to be able to work under pressure, not make your customers feel unwelcome and like an inconvenience. Due to the poor customer service this will be our first and last visit to Sugar Buns. I hope management can teach some better customer service.
Visited here for breakfast while on a business trip. The food was great and the coffee was one of the best I had while down in Victoria. However the service let them down. The cafe wasn't that busy with maybe 5-7 tables including myself and colleague, it took a while for us to be served, we then asked after ordering if we could get some water...this never came. Food came quickly and was amazing. Again there was no check in to see how our meals were or if we wanted to order more coffee, service needs some work.
The shakes are fantastic, extremely creative and overall delicious! However, the food, was not that great. Again very creative and sounds nice on the menu, but didn't actually taste that good. It ended up being so many different flavours on one plate, which is too much. Overall would go again, but would probably book because of how busy the place is, even on a Tuesday. The drinks are extraordinary and the food is good too. The one thing that lets them down is the slow service. I had soup with toast which was great and the coffee was good too. my friends had drink creations and chip and wedges. No complaints at all about eh food or drinks. It is crazily busy and hard to get into, so book ahead !
We had been wanting to come for ages after seeing all the great photos on Insta. We weren't disappointed at all. Seated instantly, quick service and the meals came very soon after ordering. Everything was terrific, very tasty, and service with a smile.
Beautiful food, great coffee, awesome milkshakes, friendly staff. The old saying is "that always eat at a busy cafe/restaurant" Sugar Buns, is extremely busy. By the time we left, the que, was out the door.

They have a variety of meals to choose from. All great quality and tasty. The shakes they make are out of this world and so creative
