My husband and I booked a single night away for my birthday. I wish we booked a longer stay! We checked in early with Chris who then showed us around the property. It was wonderful to hear all about the property and the history. Chris then showed us to our cottage- the dream cottage! A dream is definitely the way to describe this wonderful cottage. As you go up the stairs you enter a beautiful covered porch with plenty of seating and a front porch swing. The food was delicious, the bed was comfortable, and the linens were very soft. The staff allowed us to check in a bit earlier than our scheduled time, which was very helpful. However, I must admit that I booked this trip for my partner's birthday specifically looking for a place with a pool. I inquired multiple times before booking about the swimming pool and whether it would be open in June. Unfortunately, the pool was not open when we arrived, which was disappointing. My wife and I stayed at the gas house for one night during our recent trip. I chose the Richardson suite based on the positive reviews and photos we had seen, and I was not disappointed. The guesthouse was charming and welcoming, just as we had hoped. When we arrived, we were greeted by Tree, who was friendly and helpful. She mentioned that we had arrived a little earlier than planned, but it was not a problem. Had a nice stay at Sugar Hill Inn last Saturday evening. The B&B is conveniently located close to the highway but it's tucked away and very quiet and peaceful. Sugar Hill is similar to other B&B's, and part of what makes these quaint inns so enjoyable to stay at, is that each inn has it's own charm. Sugar Hill had a very good breakfast and dinner, and the room was very comfortable. The reason for the lack of 5 stars was that the AC was broken and the room was very hot. However, after talking to the owners, they brought us up a few fans and were very apologetic. we had a great weekend trip in the sugar hill inn in nickerson suite. we immediately felt welcome and within less hours there were no strangers anymore. kierstin, chris and craig surprised us with their hospitality and friendliness. they were always helping us with our stay or with fantastic local day trips. it was really nice to meet michael and hope, they are one of the nicest people we know. they looked after our desires and made our stay very comfortable. the breakfast was delicious and felt very like homemade eating. chef collin cooked amazing dinner. the salmon court was excellent, so much so that we ordered it twice in a single night and also made dinner reservations for the next nigh...
During Memorial Day weekend, we stayed at the Sugar Hill Inn while visiting the White Mountains. We prefer staying at privately managed inns during our trips, and the charming 1700s inn did not disappoint. We received a thorough tour at check-in and were pleased with our room, the Moses Aldrich room. It was comfortable, well-appointed, and immaculately clean. The bathroom had been nicely updated as well. The inn served a complimentary breakfast that was top-notch, featuring coffee, fresh fruit, juice, and delicious scones. We highly recommend the Sugar Hill Inn to anyone visiting this beautiful part of New Hampshire.
Amazing! Came here with my wife for our second anniversary! Beautiful location, very nice Inn! The best part was the people (a rarity). Everyone from the inn owner all the way down the line were exceptional! Special kudos to their chef, Collin. I’m not sure where he gained his knowledge but his creations are nothing short of culinary wizardry. He patiently catered an entire meal for me as I’m currently experiencing a condition where the vast majority of foods taste like metal. Everything he made for me was incredible.Great staff! Highly recommend. We will certainly be back.
My wife and I stayed for two great nights in the Lafayette Suite. The staff is ultra accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Not only was the historic inn cozy, it was immaculate. Looking out our window to see the sunrise and set over the mountains was an experience we will cherish forever. Highly recommend and will be back as soon as the summer heat arrives!
