I ordered agedashi tofu and it was gross. Instead of being crispy and fried it was gooey like jelly. I complained about it and they said it is supposed to be like that. Sugata changed owners years ago and I stopped going. Recently I've given it a couple tries and it's been great. The sugata bento is a great deal for $33. There's enough to feed two people. Since COVID, I hadn't visited nor gotten delivery from here, but last week I ordered a delivery and was blown away by the incredible quality of every dish. The Tempura was truly superb, and the Salmon Teriyaki was perfection itself (including being perfectly cooked). Bravo! I can't wait to get more.

This is a true hidden gem. The food was absolutely outstanding—especially the omakase which was simultaneously subtle and extremely bold. I honestly can’t believe it took me this long to find this place. Could not recommend this higher.
