Today marked my second visit to the ‘ole Summit and Main Deli in Denville. I discovered this little gem a couple of years back on a Sunday when Sergio’s was closed. I don’t remember what I ordered that day (think it may have been a Tuna Sub but I remember it being delicious and the wait not very long. I remember the bread being very fresh and hearty (this place doesn’t do skimpy loaves! and the sandwich outstanding. I came back today for lunch. Their credit machine was out of commission so it was cash only. Luckily, today was one of the rare occasions I actually had some dough on me (serendipitous people . I was in the mood for my favorite kind of sub, the mighty Italian....the Italian Stall...
For many years, I unknowingly passed by this gem until one day, while waiting at a traffic light on Main Street, I noticed their sign that reads, "We Serve Real Taylor Ham. Free Parking In Rear." The mention of "Real Taylor Ham" really caught my attention, and from there, the rest is as you'd expect—no dramatic twists or surprises, just some exceptionally delicious sandwiches. It's as simple as that! Come on over and satisfy your cravings!
Catering – Delicious, highly recommended Ordered various types of food (subs, hot dishes, fruit/salad) for 50 and everything was great. Swedish meatballs, Penne Wodka, Auberginen Rollatini were some of the favs along with overcrowded sub’s. Would definitely choose the same place for catering and also plan to fall for a visit.
Summit Main offers high-quality food with a fantastic selection of sandwiches named after local landmarks and areas. They serve homemade breakfast and lunch, and also provide take-out and catering services. The entire city loves this place! We visit often! Five stars!

This place has great breakfast sandwiches for a classics Taylor ham, egg and cheese, but also great deli sandwiches- my family and I get sandwiches for lunch to take down the shore with us when we’re doing beach day trips.
The best cheesesteaks I've ever had! Definitely don’t share your meal with anyone. I highly recommend the Iren, which features shaved steak sautéed in Guinness, as well as the Hen House.
I can’t help but leave a glowing review! I ordered an omelet with extra cheese, and it was just perfect. The homemade fries were probably the best I've ever tasted. Thank you!
I've only ordered breakfast sandwiches from here but they are delicious and filling! This is one of my go to spots for take out on breakfast.
