Was always are only go to choice for Chinese Food for many years. No more though! Husband’s 75th birthday with grandkids Chinese food from Sun Ming was a no brainer. How disappointing. Chicken Balls were burnt, dried out in most cases, inedible—some of...the chicken was even brown inside threw most of them in the garbage. Even the sweet sour sauce was a funny red colour not light like before had a very congield texture. Yukky for sure. The sweet sour pork quite disappointing—very chewy not like before . Egg rolls tolerable, but again, slightly burnt. Gotta admit though, the chicken wonton soup was great. But for $90.00, won’t ever order from them again—unfortunate because for so many years,...
I really don't like to leave bad reviews but I am hoping the owners will see this. We have been ordering Sun Ming for years and it has always been great. Up until recently. The last few times I've ordered it has been so bad...that I won't order again until I hear the food has improved. The chicken fried rice tastes burnt and there is not a single vegetable to be seen. Like what happened to throwing some peas and carrots in too? Also I don't think broccoli comes in any of the vegetable dishes anymore unless you order just broccoli. It's all celery and green peppers. Even the trusty chicken balls were burnt the last time. Excellent egg rolls but that is it these days. Please make some changes!...
Previously we could count on sung ming for good eating. Unfortunately, our last two deliveries were at best uneasy. chicken balls taste as if they had been fried again in dirty oil, everything else has no taste. I don't know what's going on with these youngs. I am sorry if they are personally desperate (as we are all) but the quality of eating is really sucking.
We have been ordering food from Sun Ming for years and have never had any problems. We also have eaten in but now that the Covid-19 is here it is take out all the time. If you're looking for reliably good chicken balls, Cantonese chow mein, fried wontons, spring rolls, vegetable fried rice, etc. etc. etc. then this is your best bet in the Kawarthas. Always well done and reasonably priced. For weekend takeout, call WELL ahead especially on...Sundays.
eating was not terrible with any means, but certainly not the best I had but I think best in this particular area personal was very friendly and courteous eating was delivered hot and on time I would recommend ordering if they were looking for Chinese cuisine
Did take out on 4 dishes, only one of which was actually edible. Very disappointing. General Tao chicken seemed to have been made and packaged earlier in the week, then microwaved as it had congealed into one solid clump.

we have ordered all few months for the last year and the half of here chinese and are never disappointed. Last night we ordered again. same delicious food, on time and great quantity and fair prices.
