I entered this restaurant with high expectations, and for the most part, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere and design are truly exceptional, creating an unforgettable experience. The cocktails were fantastic, and the snacks were delicious. The only downside was our service; our server didn't appear very interested in assisting us, and her attitude didn't align with the rest of the positive vibe. In contrast, the bartenders were much friendlier, to the point that I wished we were seated at the bar being served by them instead. Regardless, be sure to make a reservation and check this place out!
I was initially hesitant, as I often find social media-inspired speakeasy culture to be quite off-putting, but this place truly felt unique. The aesthetic of an underwater, haunted nautical secret society is executed brilliantly through the décor, furniture, and menu. Before closing, they created a wonderful atmosphere with water balloons and colorful LED lights. Our server was lively and delightful; she brought back memories of my trip to Scotland with her cheerful demeanor and engaging personality. Overall, a fantastic experience!
This lovely cocktail club is located above Gage and Tolner. The nautical atmosphere is captivating, complete with great theatrical elements. The cocktails were delightful, and they also offered a variety of mocktails. The food was what you would typically expect at a cocktail bar—decent, but not the main attraction. If you're feeling adventurous, I highly recommend trying the Abyss Zombie Punch and Brain Fog. When I visited with a friend, we didn’t need a reservation, but I would suggest making one for larger groups.
I had such a great time here for a Friday night drink with a friend! The Harbor Mule is absolutely amazing, and the bartenders really have their skills down. The lounge seating is super comfy, creating an intimate yet lively atmosphere. We only waited about 5 minutes for a table, but I’d definitely suggest making a reservation if you plan to come later in the evening. It’s the perfect spot for a small group of 2 to 4 people. this is my favorite bar in new york. on the theming, it is definitely kitschy and super fun, but doesn’t come at the expense of the quality of the drinks. every cocktail is incredible and thoughtfully crafted, along with super cute glassware that enhances the experience. all of the bartenders and servers are kind, knowledgeable, and totally committed to the bit. i’m jealous of the people who get to be regulars here.
A lovely and unique bar! We didn’t make the reservation but dined at Gage and Tollner downstairs. The staff helped us putting our names down when we arrived and after dinner the timing lined up perfectly. The drinks were delicious especially if you are a rum drinker. The atmosphere is so nice and will definitely come back!!
The aesthetic of this place is second to none! Intimate small room that’s full of surprises, including but not limited to smoke and lasers!
